In this video, I’ll be going over the DOs and DON’Ts for your college application audition tape. As an alumnus of the Juilliard School, I'm here to provide helpful content for any of you who wish to apply for a conservatory and pursue music as a career!

just curious but on average how long do the recordings need to be and how long is a live audition?

It varies but Video will the full program so about 15-30 min and live will usually be a few passages and then sight reading so all in all about 10 minutes

This is super helpful! I'm about to record my audition video but I have a (maybe dumb) question - can I record using my iPhone or does it have to be like super high quality video?

You definitely can record with a newer version of the iPhone, but just be mindful of the situations I mentioned in the video! Good luck 😄
