Great video. Fun to watch and listen to your perspective. Back in the mid-80’s, I purchased boxes of the GPK’s. I still have an original full box of unopened 2nd Series (OS2, 48 packs), along with four (4) unopened, pristine OS1 pink packs and all 15 series without a single bad corner, kept in our cool, dry, smoke-free and pet-free basement for all these years. When I started hearing about todays market, I kinda always thought they would have some sort of resurgence. Anyways, thanks for sharing. Love these things and great memories it brings back from the greatest decade in human history (the 80’s!!)…Bueller? Bueller? Bueller……
Dude I remember the week these came out. In the first pack I opened I had Toady Terry and I must have looked at it on and off for days. It's still one of my favorite GPK's. What a great series this was.

Wow. I got a whole case of 86 series 3 for like 65 bucks back in gotta be 2001. 😂 I had so many packs we started throwing sealed packs around the living room at each other like throwing stars 😂
In 2011 i bought a FULL box of 1987 Topps baseball cards from a local card dealership for $5.00 (five dollars). He had a whole case of them. They had been stored in hot humid condition and the gum massively distorted the card it was against and sometimes ruined the NEXT adjacent card. The wax ruined every card it touched as well. It was a valuable experience in finding out how much damage gum can do.
Someone thought they were sitting on a gold mine but it was a dud. Store your cards well!

Yes, my favorite. I would probably love series 1 too if I could afford any of it!
The best part of a full box is smelling the gum once in a while. If i get the one I'm thinking of, its never getting opened.
I was 8 in 1985. I had all the series 1 and series 2 😢

Jay Bob & Sons Condition is alright, def not pack fresh like the gems above☝️but I got it for a steal, 67/82 cards so its not complete...but u know I don’t mind. The hunt begins!!

How would I know which ones to send in to get graded on season 3 series? Besides looks, and condition obviously. Is there only certain ones that bring value when graded?
There are some main characters from each set, they are hard to get good grades but if you do, can be worth a lot
Was looking at your cards, they look like they are not flat and have some waves in the cards. Anyone know if this affects grading? I would think it would but...........
Thanks for stopping by, Cody! To the best of my knowledge it should not matter. There are plenty of baseball cards out there like chrome and optic that are bendy and grade fine.
It seems to me i coulda got one of those for $200 like 2 yr ago. Double that now

Pantyhose take out wax stains and if the gum hasn’t penetrated the card, Goo Gone removes the stain. BUT, practice on a crap card first. lol

I was able to rub off most of the gum residue just with my finger on the Roy Bot...looks pretty good. I will try the pantyhose on the front wax on some of the others!
