The funny thing is, the always show teenage or young people doing this. In reality, waaaaay more truck drivers, soccer moms, or errand runners do it. Middle aged and older people need to pay attention too.

We hope that anyone that sees this will remember it and all ages will pay more attention.

Misson zero deaths? Take a look at Dutch transportation infrastructure. We can learn so much from the Netherlands.

      @@SR-zb9sv Appreciate the facts!

@@SR-zb9sv And yet we still manage to have over 4x the road deaths per 100,000 inhabitants, and over 3x per 100,000 motor vehicles. Plenty of smaller countries do worse than the U.S. and plenty of big ones do better, infrastructure scales up and down. Being a large country doesn't mean we have to have more deaths per capita.

@@SR-zb9sv Put another way... if we have 25x, though it's actually more like 18x (333m vs. 18m) the population- even with 30x the motor vehicles- why do we have over 80x the road deaths?

Both. pedestrians should be looking out for cars and cars should be looking out for pedestrians. But the onerous is on the driver to not hit the pedestrians.

Regardless of why, we are just glad that attention is being brought to the issue so everyone will be more careful on all fronts. Thanks for the comment
