  • Taking a look at my new to me KDX 200 that I just traded for. Pretty excited about this new ride and looking forward to hitting the trails and seeing how this old girl does. Just going over the basics of it a little start up and talking about my plans with this bike. Thanks for watching! Leave a comment and don’t forget to subscribe!

Dude, this is ALSO A MOTOCROSS RACING BIKE.
It's designed for 4 hours of racing around a motocross track.
It's definitely NOT designed for short scrambles.
It's been 40 years and you still don't realise this.
    Be ashamed of yourself!
    Stop listening to male gossip!!

      Yes you can.
It's totally inappropriate for the riding you want to do.

I’m putting together a 02 200. I have to send my cylinder out for plating and put the bottom back together with all the new bearings etc. I went with the same graphics kit, looks good with those fork boots. I called factory connection and got the last pair of frame guards they had available for a kdx200 I was so happy to get because I’m a whore for those on my bikes. I like them to look good and aswell as be fast. Would you recommend spending the extra money on the lectron for someone who’s just going to mess around half a dozen times a summer with it?

Unfortunately you've bought the wrong bike, so it has to GO or else you put it into your collection and buy something else.
This IS a motocross racing bike designed for very long motocross races 🏁
In the 8 hour motocross race, you need a rear tail light to warn ⚠️ the other racers in the dark.
You fell victim to the motorcycle retail SCAM and they sold you a bike you can't possibly use.
You can't just change the bike to do scrambles cause the gearing is all wrong and you'll have to change the PISTON TO CONNECTING ROD RATIO to suit scrambles.
You'd end up wasting your time and money 💰 changing everything on the bike.
You DON'T BUY an 8 hour motocross racing bike if you want a scrambles bike!!!!!

I’ll be racing in Missouri mostly. We have a lot of wooded terrain out this way and some good state parks that make for some great riding!

@@MaxLalk I come down from Iowa to race motocross in Moberly and I got one of these from a barn find and now I’m just searching info about them. Good luck out there

Hey brother, it has a KX rear fender on it, too. Looks like it needs rings and a piston, too. I raced a 98 KDX for a few years and loved it. You keep the top end fresh it should start in two kicks.

The top end is “fresh” with only 2 hours according to the previous owner but I know how that goes. It’s been much milder weather wise and the thing fires off first or second kick when cold and about a half kick when warm now
