ABOUT LEFT BEHIND:
LEFT BEHIND is a hyper-realistic psychological horror game where you take on the role of a real estate agent with a client looking to sell you a property. Instead of a straightforward and quick interaction with the client, you find yourself thrust into a deeply unsettling and frightening situation.
Yow fooster! Thanks for playing my game! Appreciate it so much!
Great game, homie!
did you have to make ending so real thou? there are thousands if not tens of thousands bros out there who lost their "wife" and kids cuz they lost their job. I know its horror game but jeez man. That's brutal.
IDK about you, but that woodland area must be HELL to drive in in winter
@@LeonSteelpawReminds me a bit of a city near me that's up in the mountains. Some of the people there have the STEEPEST driveways, I have NO idea how they manage once the snows hit.
Sanaol
This is freaky as hell. Also, using Google Translate, the Latin phrase "Tu qui oblitus es, Nunc liber est" means "You who were forgotten are now free."
I learned from playing these horror games that nothing good can ever comes from exploring a mental or Psychiatric abandoned hospital but there still fun to play even though you get the SHIT SCARED OUT OF YOU
😐
@@thefoosterchannel in spanish its "you who is (oblitus)forgotten is never free"
@@thefoosterchannelwhy the smug reaction
@@niobisad isn’t smug the one with the upturned mouth? I thought the one Fooster used was more like expressionless, you know like the dumb founded or the disbelief ‘what’
I live in southeast Alabama and venture into the woods quite often. The most disturbing situation is being out in nature and realizing there's no ambient sound at all. I was camping with some friends and we were deep into some incredibly thick underbrush when one of us mentioned the lack of sound. Then a bone chilling, guttural scream for a few seconds, followed by a terrible stench. Never saw anything but not for lack of trying. I've never been more in fear for my own well being than that night.
If it's anything, chances are it was a fisher. Fishers scream like bloody murder, I hear them often enough up here in PA. I think you have them down there.
Can't tell what made the smell, unless the fisher was also right there and it pooped or something. I just know fishers are unpleasant to hear at night if you don't know what you're hearing.
that sounds terrifying!
And you never notice the sudden silence until someone else points it out... 😵💫
Same here. I also live in southeast Alabama. Currently in Troy but originally from Headland which is 10 minutes or so north of Dothan. You? I’ve been turkey and deer hunting ever since I was old enough to do so but there’s not much more unnerving than hearing a bobcat screaming like a woman in the direction you’re headed 😂
What luck that the sound happened right after mentioning no sounds
I mentioned this in the last video.. The forest is so well done! Nothing obvious is duplicated, there's no patterns due to lazy design. There's the odd sparkle from a waxy leafed plant, even the wind blowing ferns and trees are done in waves, like a proper breeze. I have never seen a more realistic representation of a forest on my screen. So well done.
Edit: I live in the country, my backyard is a national park. I can tell you 100% the air is fresher out here. When I visit my dad in a major city (600 000 people) and try to go for a run for exercise, immediately I am struggling for oxygen. It's like running just after smoking a cigarette. The pollution just reduces the quality of the air by a lot.
Wow! Did not expect to get my heart ripped out. Have to say if anyone is struggling with grief please reach out to someone, don’t suffer in silence.
Same… Didn’t expect such a deeply strong sentiment at the end of an otherwise regular horror game. Having lost my Dad 8 years ago, and now my grandmother soon to go, it hit extremely close to home…
There are actual studies on how they use nature therapy for children and adolescents with depression. It's the effect of connecting with something larger than you.
And the results are amazing. I have a friend who’s a psychologist that assigns nature therapy to the clients alongside their meds and has found it works remarkably well. It’s almost like the human condition wasn’t meant to be locked behind walls under unnatural light for most their lives 😂
Shinrin-Yoku (森林浴) for example.
...It includes no electronics. That's a big one, and a big reason for so much depression in young ppl.
I kick my son outside regularly. He rides his bike or does whatever he wants.
You know what's sad? There are 20+ kids in just my building (there are 3 bldgs on the property) and I never one seen another kid play outside.
Im sure it happens, but its rare enough neither he nor I have seen it.
The closest he got were some kids waving at him from inside their apt while he played outside... it actually broke my heart.
There's a ton of grass and land here (Im in a rural area of central maine). There's plenty of area to play.
I can totally understand how that would work
Fun fact; that 'old school drill' on the bed at 36:30 is still used today on military aircraft. It's called a 'speed handle' and it's used because you can get a lot more force behind it (dominant hand goes on the middle, other hand goes on the end and you can press that directly into your shoulder so you can use your body weight) to keep from stripping out the screw head. We rarely used a power drill on screws - only on bolts.
I was on edge throughout most of the video, loving the atmostphere, ready to sh*t a brick at every corner... then came an ending that really tugged at my heartstrings. That was an awesome video, always so entertaining and fun to watch. I'm always happy to see you posting!
when my day feels gloomy, fooster comes and saves the day.
Hope you're doing okay, keep your head up!
❤
Yeah, this was a real pick-me-up wasn't it? 🤔
The demo for this game was one of your first videos I watched and I was HOOKED. One thing I learned from storytelling is that the main character doesn’t know what genre they’re in. While we know it’s a horror game, the character doesn’t know how deep in the shit they really are. ((What are you doing out here, Fred?! -I am legend?))
That scene was AWESOME. So incredibly emotional.
@@missdire I freaked out so badly during that scene 😂 I’m 💯 convinced that’s the reason why I have issues with mannequins lol.
33:04 loool, your reaction to the dummy peeping on the stairs was like when Will Smith’s character found his mannequin homie in the street in I Am Legend😭
lol right, i immediately thought of Fred ( the mannequin) as well ! that was awesome
11:11 perfect timing for the bird call to cover Fooster’s “f*ck” was hilarious 😂 I know you didn’t actually say it but still was funny.
34:48 i love when a player is smart enough to understand this. countless people go strait for key items without even considering this.
44:36 was the building on the right an alternate ending?
the game didn't seem to have anything to do with the ending. weird decision.
33:18 lol W “I Am Legend” reference Fooster
Rough day with depression so seeing a new vid by you has cheered me up, thank you
I have depression as well! Please try to stay positive and I know you don’t know me but I’ll reply back if you wanna talk about anything! Hope all is well for you! God bless :)
Hi, I love all your videos, but the horror ones are amazing. They're full of adrenaline and the way you interact vocally brings the character's experiences close to us.
Nothing says "I'm going to die" more than going into a magical psychiatric hospital in the middle of the woods and reading random words you don't know lol
My day always gets better with Fooster videos!❤
Living in the woods myself, not only is not hearing any natural ambience terrifying, but hearing a bobcat scream in the middle of the night will make you jump out of your skin!😳
Jesus, when that black figure was peeking? I felt that jolt through my WHOLE body.
FOOSTER! This dropped at the perfect time. Just pulled up youtube and it says 2 minutes ago!! NOICE. Thanks for the vids man, appreciate you.
thanks for watching!
Such a great venue concept. This is reminding me so much right now of the Overlook hotel from The Shinning. Immagine if there was a flashback storyline intertwined. Like as you played through the place came to life and it was full of Nursing staff, and Doctors, and Patients. Like you mentioned a Nurse behind the counter. Imagine if that did happen, she popped up and startled you, but then the scene came to life like a carnival and the characters populated the scene and played out the storyline; complete with mentally deranged patients, and psychopathic doctors.
That ending hit me so hard... I feel so much the same.
Why would a real estate agent decide to just light a fire and take a nap in the woods when they go to meet with a client? Makes no sense
It's not real
It was just a dream,I think about his headache was him drinking a lot of sleeping pills
I also google translated it 😅 I'm 8 months pregnant and I do NOT need to be watching this! You're gonna send me into labor 😅😅
Am I the only one who thought of Fooster saying "Hello,Mr Arnold" when he said "Hello, Mr William"
13:14 This looks so much like the abandoned Riverview Hospital in Vancouver Canada. It’s like a 30 minute maybe hour drive from my house and my mom took me to see it a few weeks ago just for fun. It was spooky as hell. My grandma worked there as a graveyard shift secretary before the place shut down and would tell me all these ghost stories about it. Seeing it in person was absolutely insane.
around 38:00 ( not going back to fact check lol) I real life jumped and screamed hahahaaa. I never thought a game could do that Im loving this! keep it coming man.
Keep em coming. Gives me something to pass the time!
Fooster! No matter what you play I’m here for it. Solo! With others! Whatever man. Just keep killing it and doing what makes you happy
19:15 you went all Pérez Prado with that "OOOOHHHHH" 😂 I jumped because of that and not so much because of the mannequin, my poor heartstrings.
Oh glad we get to revisit this one plus mic feature should be interesting.
6:13 Shinrin-yoku, or forest bathing, is a thing.
45:19 wasn't expecting all the feels. Thanks for putting yourself through another horror game ❤
I nearly spit out my coffee laughing after the "100% full of piss in that" aside
10:48 If you were wondering, that's a cougar. And when I heard one in the dark once, I surprisingly didn't run. It's one of those times where you're so scared that your fight or flight instinct just kinda doesn't kick in and you stand there, completely scared out of your wits for a moment.
There are like 4 reactions to terror: flee, fight, freeze and fawn. Most people default to the first two (because it makes sense), but sometimes the other two get activated instead.
If you freeze instead of immediately fleeing (prey action) or fight predatory action), then the predator might decide that *you* are actually a higher level predator and gtfo.
Fawning is specifically an in-group reaction. You fawn or try to appease your aggressor so they leave you alone.
Yaaaay! I’m so glad you decided to try this again! I tweeted to you about it not too long ago…I needed to know if someone would respond and tbh…highly disappointed they didn’t. This was the perfect game for this! We will find one!
"It sounds like he's licking his lips!" .... it did, the entire thing became hysterical
I binge watched your videos (and the combo videos with Fisk, Oalf and others) and there's nothing better than watching them to distract from working out. I don't know what hurts more my abs from laughing or everything else from jump scares😂
Thanks Fooster, Just the right amount of edge of your seat thrill ride. Also love the “what you doing out here Fred” from I am legend movie!
Love the I am legend reference. Great video! I was wondering if this game would come up again.
I came to the comments to see who else caught that :D
whats weird is the first time u played this it was a 1 or 2 story white farm house with wrap around porch and now its a psychiatric hosptial
I'm from the New England US and a lot of the textile mills here where I live in NH have been turned into either Apartments or furniture stores some into thrift stores and other's into antique shops and some of the ones I've been to will have a little historical display of what the building originally was and it is the coolest thing ever you get to appreciate the history and beauty of what it once was and the history and beauty of what it is now the Spanish at the end of the note it says in English you who were forgotten are now free
I am completely hooked on your horror vids. They don't actually scare me other than occasionally a jump scare will get me. Watching you play is a hoot, tho.
If you're not really scared, you deserve an Oscar.
LMAO that I Am Legend reference made me laugh so hard. "Fred if you're real, you better tell me now! FRED, IF YOU'RE REAL, YOU BETTER TELL ME NOW!!"
I live thru you with these scary games, I scream every dang time 😂😜😂
DON'T WALK TOWARDS THE LIGHT, FOOSTER
I love how the owl cuts off your first F word. Perfect and hilarious. Love your channel man, only found it last month and have been binging ever since 😅
That Deer was SO creepy!
Oh my gosh... that's a Psychiatric Hospital!?!?!?!?????? NOPE. NO WAY. That is way too scary. I thought it was a normal medical hospital, that is far worse!
The design looks amazing! All the set pieces, very cool. This is going to get very freaky.
This is the best looking in-game flashlight I've ever seen. Props to the dev, game looks lovely.
I very much look forward to your uploads dude. Truly. Especially the screams. Always a good time. 😆
Fooster, I always love to see a new video from you. Keep up the good work 👍
more on the way!
I found your channel via your witch hunt series an I really love it. Nice old school lets plays without the modern youtube bs. Keep up the good work 😊
I moved just a forty minute walk away from my old house and yeah, the air is very different between the city and countryside. The old place was in a bog-standard suburb next to the motorway, and while the new place was physically about the same distance away from the motorway, the air is much cleaner. In part, because the new place is in a village, but also because the wind often blows clean air south from Wales, which also carried the motorway fumes into the city. Beforehand, the only way you’d get clean air was after a really heavy downpour. We used to sit under the porch and smell the air during a rainstorm because of it. Now, we don’t need to, although it is nice to watch.
Yea you can definitely tell!
11:03 after the jumpscare what fooster did is make me laugh so hard, if every horror game have a voice chat to talk with the entity I'm sure if fooster get jumpscared by the entities he can say hello just like that what he did in this video 😂
Fooster - Theres these guys on RUclips called the Proper People who go to abandoned buildings like this and film it. They've been to old.hospitals, creepy theme parks and abandoned towns. I totally recommend checking out if you haven't.
Love your channel btw. Watching you panic in these games puts a smile on my face. :)
When I have watched too much crazy, depressing worldly news and need to be pulled from the chaos, Fooster is where I go. And 10:47 I'm in a full sprint to my truck and gone.
Finally got to finish watching this. Wow, that ending really got to me. So truly sad but, overall, terrifying. Happy to say that no, Fred did not come back to finish you off. lol Great gameplay as always, Fooster!
Nice call back to “I am Legend” there, Fooster at 33:18
i get more spooked with fooster's reaction than with the scares themselves 😭 keep up the good work
Well we can be jumpy together. I nate horror yet love watching when you play. Please keep these up.
Heard the pain in your voice at the end of the game when the character realised he’d lost his family… hope you’re doing ok. Thanks for the game👍
Love ya Foos! Thanks for the videos!
What the hell? Literally two minutes ago I finished watching the same game you played couple months ago and now you posted longer video. What are the odds? Good job lad :)
lol hope you enjoy!
Man, that ending. Didn’t expect to get emotional but poor guy. I can relate to him too.
Bring back fisk and fooster mane. That was straight up comedy gold content right there❤
I really wanted to play this game before I watched you play, but damn I needed that Fooster fix for the day.
As a person who does urban exploring, I have encountered the supernatural once, a whole bunch of mates and I went to a abandoned asylum and was going through old records because we were curious and suddenly all of us heard whispering all around us. Thing is, none of us were speaking at all. It was like a faint "Get out."
36:57 I had to pause the video and take a very deep breath. I was also sure that something was there waiting for you to turn around!!!
My heart is in NO CONDITION to be watch this but i have to😂
To be fair i laughed more then i thought i would thanks to your commentary ( 25:19 "straight punch him in his throat if he is")😂
Just wanted to say I loved the video Fooster! The ending caught me really off guard and not gonna lie, it hit close to home..
Keep being amazing! It's always nice to have a video from you! It's a nice distraction from a difficult day 🫶
That was truly HORRIFYING, i was so tensed up throughout the play
watching Fooster's videos at midnight till dawn is really enjoying
Love your content 😌 so fun to watch. I’m not really a PC gamer.. but after watching your videos I decided to give it a go 😅
You’re doing amazing and can’t wait for more 👌🏽
i remember getting my first pc and doing school work while watching ur vids man. ur nostalgic love ya bro
11:08 no way the added the sound from the meme of the deer screaming that scared the life out of me 😂😂
I’m surprised you don’t do more sons of the forest videos since the forest was such a huge part of your channel in the beginning and my favorite series. You got me hooked on the game. 😀
Honestly Fooster, the scariest part of this wasn't really the building. But you wandering around in the pitch black woods. I've been there and it is the most primal fear I've ever felt. Thankfully I had a friend there to explain the coyote sounds before I freaked out completely lol.
The things Fooster does to avoid paying a hospital bill he goes to this place lol
this is where I had my surgery :)
I think game developers are waking up to giving Fooster the power to call for Mr. Arnold for the sake of content value.
I felt that "F you" at 11:21 in my soul 😂
I enjoy your videos as a new subscriber, mainly because your voice is calming even when your frightened 😂 thx for the content 🙌🏽
0:58 Now I know, from where I know that sound!! (Minecraft Cave Dweller)
you got me... again
I respect the hell outta you, Man. Still got the stones to do the "Hello" but the fact that you're doing it so much quieter than usual is testament to how scary this atmosphere is. Love to see it
Edit: Love the I am Legend reference. Proper made me laugh
LOL not even a minute in Fooster....and you got me to damn near jump out of my chair! Well done my lad! rofl
No no what you doing out here Fred haha 😅love it - is a quote from “ I am legend the movie”
the howl you hear inside the building is the wind blowing through hollow places like broken windows and stuff most likely, seeing as a lot of the rooms are locked or blocked off
Oh i loved when you played the demo! I’m so excited they fully released it!
Any day is a good day for a video from Fooster
Damn, the end of this video hit me right in the feels :( It truly is a horror when humans cant find solace and peace in other humans. Too many of us are blinded by our own day to day to realize someone else is hurting, and all they need is to be heard for a moment.
Love the in-game audio for this game! Made me laugh a little each time it repeated you 😂
ty for this video fooster love you man
This was a scary one... The guy from the house really surprised me from the first episode... I wonder if itll be the same this time... Thanks for the upload fooster!!
Your powers of observation and memory are amazing...
I don't remember seeing a lighter. I'm the kind of person who needs a walk through guide when I can't figure out what to do next...
Love the Fred reference. You are quite the legend!
Fooster always comes through for us👌
Good to see u fooster thanks for another vid
MC has more faith in that fire to keep away predators than I do in my own husband.
11:10 ...holy sh*t that deer!! My heart went right into my mouth ffs!
23:23 ....reading Latin in an abandoned building that appeared out of thin air seems like the BEST. PLAN. **EVER**!!!
33:43 Goodbye soul. I didn't need you anymore.
37:34 *lets out gibberish screams into a hand to not wake hubby when the humming doll appeared* That thing gave me a flashbacks to the junk 'dolls' from the 1970s movie The Wiz. If anyone else knows what I mean, it's the abandoned subway scenario in the film with the jinky, jerky dolls chasing the party. I had nightmares for months behind watching that film.
...oh man. That ending hit my feels.. Lost my dad last year so....that was a struggle to come to terms with. The ending made the game feel a bit like That Dragon Cancer if anyone knows that game? ...thanks again for a marvelous play through. It was well worth the watch!
The night walking in the woods is giving me flashbacks to cat fishing on the river with my brother. Never knew what you were going to see or hear coming out of the trees
I love how he got into character and read the dialog like he was actually voicing the game. lol
I'm a bit late watching this one. I just want to say car or no car, I would have walked my happy ass back to civilization before turning around to the decrepited building behind me. Anyone else with me on this?
Fisk would look around the woods and see where he would put his cabin lol. I remember driving around an area away from the city and it started raining on this road surrounded by a forest. When I cracked the window open the air was so fresh.
Something about the noises and the music the creature was making made it so, so hard to sit through. I've never felt so uncomfortable watching a game. Very intense
