I love Brad and Bob! I want that!! I had cataract surgery last year, the fentanyl they gave me relaxed me, but I saw flashing lights during the surgery. It was rather fascinating, but no pain. Don't be afraid, it was like a psychedelic trip, not that I would know anything about that being a teenager in the 1970's!

I had cataract surgery in April of this year. They gave me a valium and it just relaxed me, but I remember the surgery. Wasn't bad at all and was over within 10 minutes. They require a driver to take you home because of taking the valium. There is no pain at all, they numb your eye really well. Love that foot massager, I may have to buy myself one for Christmas.

Doctors want all the appointments so they can bill your insurance. That’s how they make $. I had a procedure done and they wouldn’t give me the results unless I went into the office. Just for results which turned out to be inconclusive. Crazy. Heard this morning that the US has the most expensive healthcare in the world. Fix that too RFK Jr.

I was considering the purchase of one of those foot massagers for my plantar fasciitis-until I saw the price 😳😬🙁. Enjoy it. Cataract surgery was a piece of cake for me. The second time I got along better by starting lightly applying an icepack to the temple area, and sometimes gently holding it in front of my eye. No side effects whatsoever. 👍👍

Carolyn, the doctor gives you light anesthesia like if you were having a colonoscopy. No tubes down your throat like major surgery. Also, someone most definitely needs to drive you home. I had a clear hard plastic protector taped over my surgical eye plus I was a little loopy or unsteady. The procedure is relatively easy and you’ll see colors so much brighter afterwards!

IvE had cataract surgery with no being put out! Weird! One appointment for diagnosis and one appt and done. 2 years later and my left needs to be done. Had one consultation and I’m booked! Only reason for wait is due to hospital not having enough time! OHIP covers it, I could have the Laser but that private and cost! I was freaked about the eye being done whilst awake but it was a piece of cake! Eat a Gummie😉

Good even, Carolyn. I pray your cataract surgery goes well. Wow! 17 doctors appointment, and I thought I had a lot. A couple of days ago, I was in so much pain I couldn't get out of my husband's truck to help him grocery shop. He stopped at a drug store and bought me Thermacare stick on patch and aspirin. 30 minutes later, I was able to shop with him. Please try those patches on your shoulder and back. I have fusions in my neck, and I dont want surgery again. The cold weather makes my nerve pain worse. ❤

That sounds like a lot of appointments. Here in NC it’s usually the initial appointment a Presurgery test. The cateract surgery and then a follow up and then one 4 weeks later. They don’t put you completely under here but yes you have to have someone drive you home.

My Mom used to say all I do is go to doctors and look where I put things and now I know myself how hard and frustrating it is at times! I had a couple times in PT for a frozen shoulder, and another time the nerve going from the shoulder into my arm. The reason I think is tight muscles and lifting way too much as we get older. My saying now is Debbie just because you can lift things, doesn’t mean you should! The good news is PT though painful I got full use in my arm and shoulder. Took months, and my PT told me after I really thought you were going to have to have shoulder surgery, but you toughed it out, most people take the surgery, but I figured too many times people regret having shoulder surgery, and after you still have to go to PT. The only I’d change is try to find a PT that also incorporates not just ice and heat after a session but light massage to try to loosen the muscles, and in between appointments if you could maybe pay for a massage for your whole body occasionally. Good luck Carolyn, and don’t over do things that stress your body ! I know easier said than done!😊

Carolyn, you don't want to be awake for this surgery. I have had it done and I was asleep for my first eye and all was wonderful. Then for my second eye it was a different Anesthesiologist and he said he would not put me to sleep like the first Anesthesiologist. Let me tell you, he gave me just enough medication to put me out at the beginning and I woke up during the procedure and it hurt like the dickens! I saw when my lens was taken out of my eye to put in the new one. You don't want to be awake! Now I don't know if you're just having the cataracts removed or if you are having new eye lenses put in like I did. I have cataracts taken out and lens and new ones put in. I hear you sweetheart. This is all we seem to do now that we are at this age is appts after appts. Really? I really like the Bob and Brad foot massager! I should get one. This would put me to sleep. You will be so happy once you get those cataracts done. I don't know anyone who did not have anesthesia ..it's light but you won't know what is going on. If you do- ask for more anesthesia. The minute they started putting that metal thing on my eye, I said put me under now. The lights will get brighter after the surgery. I couldn't believe how much I had been missing. I don't know why so many appts but they go by quickly. If you do not have someone to drive you home they will not do the cataract surgery. That was the way it was in my case. Also removing the cataract goes quickly. I think it took 20 min for each of my eyes. Good luck. It made such a difference for me.

I had my cataract eye surgeries done ending in last December. I was awake but felt as if I were sleeping. I didn’t get an injection and my son went with me both times and drive me home but we went out to eat afterwards at a restaurant, too.
The foot massager looks nice. I get foot Charlie horses so I am thinking that give me more of them.😆😆😆
I have a bad back. A physical therapist put a belt around my back that was attached to an electric pulley and he used 15# of weights on an electric pulley and it pulled my upper body down for about 45 minutes and he ruined me. You know what I would like to do him???😡😡😡. I have been in pain ever since. How do they get away with it?????
I agree. The insurance companies vet their doctors and if they prescribe a medicine, seems as if the flunky office girl has to approve it. Why don’t they trust their doctors and let us get the medicines. Job creators that cost too much extra money in my opinion. They loused up everything in trying to employ more people that they don’t need.
I think that the eye drops numbed my eye and I was awake but also felt as if I had fallen asleep but heard they when they talked to me. Like the twilight zone. Eye drops for a long time afterwards. Is amazing his bright the world is again. I only need readers now for reading and computer but not for driving.

Well! What a surprise! It's great to see you. Oh, this medical situation , in my mind , shows how far away we have come from a country united, to the greedy sad face of today. I had swelling in my ankles. Go to reg dr. She sends me to a kidney dr, sends me to a heart dr, sends me to a vein dr, sends me to get a colonoscopy, a mammogram, and with every dr, I had to get at least 3 test. Some were duplicate . Never found out why my ankles were swollen. All the drs wanted to do is test and meds. I said, I'm done. I don't want to be a part of this theft. I hate this part of getting older...the pain and the forgetfulness. But , in my group. its down to the last 3 girls. Everyone else is gone. Can't figure how we made it. On that note. I know you will do great though cataract surgery. I figure we can only go up from here!.. I'm wishing you a speedy recovery and a great NEW YEAR!🎉👀💖

Is this foot massager for helping people who have edema in their feet? Looks like it might. I have non working bits as well. Need to put into an order for new body parts. I am having steroid injections in my spine in January. It took two appointments. One for the scan, one with doctor over the phone looking at my results and discussing what can be done to help me walk better and relieve pain. The date to have the injections will be 3rd appointment. I can't complain. I had a heart attack (not a bad one) That only took 2 appointments. One in hospital, one to do procedure for stent. Your medical system is big business, nothing to do with health care. No system is perfect. They all have their issues. 👋🇨🇦

My sister had the oblation to some nerves in her back and she still has pain. It didn't help. So she takes pain pills and chews CBD gummies with THC.

It’s all about the money. Every op. Is money in the Dr. pockets. medical is not about the patient and making them well any longer it’s about how rich the Dr. can get now.
