- Schmincke Aqua Bronze Rich Gold Powder; oh wow this stuff is insanely shiny! Let me show you in this little shorts video just how beautiful it is. Plus I even did a mini painting with it, on black watercolour paper. You might want to wear your sunglasses for this one!

I'm in Tassie, and got mine from The Art Shop about a year ago. I got the Copper. Oh my! It's stunning. Your gold looks beautiful x Nell.
That's where I got mine too! 😄
@@BeckyTregear absolutely love The Art Shop! I think you need to be their YT ambassador! x Nell.
Hi Becky, hope you and yours are all well. I wanted to get hold of some of this gold bronze and I think you said you got it from Jackson's ? but when I try to order it, it says it won't deliver to me, I'm in Ballarat so it should if it delivered to you, or did you get it from somewhere else ? thanks. Have a great day xx
Hi Noreen, I bought mine locally in Melbourne at The Art Shop, and I found them online. Have updated the description to add a link, or you should be able to find their website, with dot com dot au on the end (if I post a link it'll hide the comment!). And on their website type in the search Schmincke Aqua Bronze to see all of the colour options. Mine is the Rich Gold. 🙂
@@BeckyTregear thanks Becky, I'll try them xx
Another item I would love! ❤😂
Just added it to my Amazon wishlist
I just got this yesterday can’t wait to try it
Hello I was wondering what brush you are using
It's a Mont Marte detail brush. They come in sets, with different coloured handles. The clear handle ones came as a set of eleven and they're really great for little projects like this one! I'm in Australia and bought these brushes from The Art Shed. There are also a few different sets on Amazon, I think.
Is already on my wish list 😉
It is very gold, very shiny, and very sparkly. I would love to have it. Maybe eventually I can get it.
They seem to be fairly easy to find, and it's a popular product I think. I can see why too, haha!
Is it reweteable?
Yes, it's like watercolour or gouache. 🙂
Some people are saying you need to add gum arabic to it to make it blend with the water. Have you found this?
I just used water and it seems to be mixing in without issue. I have a feeling that there's gum arabic mixed in already with the mica powder so it dissolves in that way. Pure guess! 😊
@@BeckyTregear thank you so much for responding so quickly and letting me know about it not needing more gum arabic. It was wondering about it. :)
@@lesleypickard9732 No worries! You could probably add extra gum arabic if you felt it needed more, but the powder has mixed well with a tiny bit of water and nothing else.
@@BeckyTregear thank you. :) Do you buy your art supplies locally? I’m in Melbourne too and usually and up buying online as I don’t have any shops near me.
@@lesleypickard9732 my most local store is The Art Shop in Bayswater, where I do a lot of my art supplies shopping (in person). I also try to visit other stores around Melbourne when I get a chance.
Beautiful! ✨
So gorgeous 😍
Stunning!
❤❤❤
hi, does this stick well to other surfaces?
Great question! I've only used it on paper, so I am unsure. My guess is that it would probably flake off non-porous surfaces, but I'll need to do some testing.
Wow- that's amazing! I just bought new watercolors today, now I definitely have to put that on my list! Does it come in other colors, and also you don't have to add any binders for it to stay after it dries?
There are a few different golds, copper and silver. As far as I know, the binder is mixed in with the powder, so activates with the pigment powder when water is added. It comes off a little bit when dried onto the paper and I rubbed my finger over it, but not too much.
@@BeckyTregear Thank you, I just watched a few other videos about it and I definitely must get it- thanks again! 😄🤗🧑🎨
