Loosest of loose playground gravel up there, but the trails system up this canon are all so awesome. Need todays's rain/snow/sleet shite to stop so we can all get back out there and play soon. Thanks for continuing to share!!!
@@natehills9388 yup…actually planning on hitting. Castle Rock, where I am at got close to 6 inches, so Douglas County will need another day, I’m thinking.
Captain Jacks is a wonderful ride. Glad you got to check it out. There's plenty of interesting rides down in the Springs to explore next time you are there.
Awesome Nate! You're the man "living the dream". I grew up in Colorado Springs and throughout the 80's I spent as much time as possible doing exactly this, and Captain Jack was hands down my favorite trail!!! Always wanted a Helmet Cam back then. In my 60's now, living in Arizona and I spend more time on my Skateboard or the Disc Golf Course these days. Thanks for the reminder of yesteryear and BTW SHE'S GOOD!
Great to see you riding my home trails. Captain Jacks offers some fun "surfing". We also have actual dirt and rocks if you know where to go in town. We ride Lake Pueblo a lot in the winter months, and Oil Wells Flat and the Royal Gorge trails an hour away for more challenging trail riding. Hope you enjoyed your time here.
Wow, talk about a ride down amnesia lane. I used to ride this back in the early to mid 90’s on my old Gary Fisher Hookooekoo until I moved to Denver. Last time I rode it was spring of 1996 in a snowstorm. The snow was a perfect consistency that you could ride it without issue - about 5-6”. Had the place all to myself, what a ride that was! Thanks for taking us along Nate👍
growing up just below those trails and now living in Oregon, whenever I think about the Springs I always wonder how all those trees are growing in pure gravel.
Update, now that this comment came back up: I went and rode the Pikes Peak Plummet, including Jacks, and it was so good! Amazing how these Springs riders learn how to rail these gravel corners!
Cap'n Jacks is great. if you're still in the area Cañon City needs your rep! There are so many great trails. South Cañon is awesome. The Royal Gorge trail system is amazing, especially the new trail, The Royal Cascade. You're gonna want to bring the drone for that one.
Looks like you two had fun! I rode this twice last week, along with the Chutes. I hate to say it, but after all of these years riding dirt bikes, I feel that I'm having a lot more fun on the MTB after starting last summer.
Great video Nate! As a dad of a couple of shredding girls i really appreciate the lady follow cam days. It always gets them pumped up to ride. Sarah's awesome! Captain Jack's has a little canyon of fools vibe on a huge scale.
Nate I love your stuff! Got into mountain biking in august and rode almost 90 days straight (was laid off) along the front range and your videos were a HUGE help to me to scout out trails. Now I’m back to riding 4-5 days a week but employed now and find myself looking for black trails to go rip thanks to learning from your videos. Quick question though, what are your GoPro specs? Did you do the MaxMod lens? Thanks!
Yo Nate. Captn Jacks is legit and add Chutes into the mix back down to Stratton Open Space. Make sure you hit up Ute Valley. Get you sum Nachos and Almond Butter (trails) there 🔥
Good call on riding it while there's moisture, that trail is like riding in a bathtub full of deep gravel when it hasn't rained in a while. Love it!
Bathtub of gravel.... I like that!

Should be prime tomorrow after last nights snow.

0:29 this view gets me every time. Such a beautiful area

Miles and miles of rad trail in CS!
@@natehills9388 Amen Brother and I have the scares to prove it😅😅
Home sweet home in COS. Been riding this trail via Buckhorn since 1999. Love it.
The best!

Glad I could rekindle some memories for ya.
Always wanted to go to Colorado, and it's great to see videos of ladies out there sending it!!🚴♀️🤘🏼🤘🏼
You should!
Moto on the beach. Lol. I'm still searching for traction on greasy climbs where I live. Great vids and good early season reflex builder.
Heck yeah! Beachy Jack's laps on the spice bike. Good to see Sarah shred again!
Always a pleasure riding with Sarah.
Nate, Happy Songkran from Bangkok. Good on ya riding with a lady friend. Good man! Lookin forward to upcoming aerial videos. Enjoy the weekend in CO.

Tons of good riding in the area.
Oil Well Flats is awesome, though I’ve never tried anything in the Royal Gorge. Worth it?
Jack's and Morgan's are my favorite trails so and this footage was great to watch. Btw, solid riding throughout... keep the rubber side down!
Looks like a fun trail though it didn't sound like traction was abundant! Great to see Sarah again, she's awesome!
Always a pleasure riding with Sarah.
the springs is pretty known for "kitty litter" on our trails

Honestly, Jack's probably rides better in the snow! haha. Thanks for watching!
Yes sir…more of that please! This one is on my list now. Thanks again for sharing 🍻
One of your best! Thanks Nate❤
Loved how Elizabeth ploughed the road! Pure adrenaline from Nate as always 💪💪💪
Fantastic trails!
Awesome riding and awesome video
Glad you enjoyed it
You are welcome
A very cool all day trail we used to ride it on dirt bikes back in the 70s. Can't imagine doing it on bicycles
It's probably better on the moto.
This trail looks amazing!
This track looks really fun👍
Thanks for the preview! Plan to hit that one in the morning.
growing up just below those trails and now living in Oregon, whenever I think about the Springs I always wonder how all those trees are growing in pure gravel.
Resilient, those COS trees.
Nature finds a way. I’ve had trees grow through concrete practically

Wow, Nice, can't believe it's that dry in Colorado for this time of year.
It was until yesterday.
That's some good riding...thanks!

Awesome ride. I am planing to visit Colorado in August… let’s ride

Good times for sure. Always good to mix the sports up to keep things fresh.

All for the children! Always stoked to motivate the groms.
15 min from home and never take it for granted!
Where exactly is the starting at , thus video is very cool

love this trail!

Hey Nick, glad to hear you have been riding a bunch. I run a hero7 on a gimbal, no mods.
Hey Nate! It was fantastic to see a woman riding on one of your videos.
my kind of trail, 🙂
Nice team.
And the e-bike makes the slog up Buckhorn less soul draining :)
Climbs itself.

All good choices.
I heard it’s mandatory to smoke a joint before dropping in at Capt. Jacks
Kitty litter love it
haha you should see Jacks right now, bit less smooth hahaha
NATE!!! Why didn't you say you were going to be around the corner from me?!?! Would have totally got you to autograph my helmet!!! ;-)
Did you wreck at 1:18?
sweet🎉
Gotta get Dave out for some cos follow cam 👀
Love this footage and this is probably the best viewpoint. Yeah, need more of these.
Been riding this trail since I was 8! good times-- The Peaks ride is really where it's at, though!
I used to walk to school barefoot. Backwards. ha
My backyard trails, but I run and not ride them.
Whatever gets you outside amigo. What it's all about.
Your special island
Senderita
looks like you're on the ebike not the 140
Correct.
No way, you're in the Springs?? Want to see some secret trails in the Canon? ;)
E bikes are fun!
All bikes are fun.
Following a girl this time! Imagine that! Cheers
