Fill-in drummer? Guy had some weird stuff going on in. I hope he keeps finding success. It's pretty clear he needs a bigger band. He's such an incredible songwriter and artist. Guy needs some background singers for SURE. Hearing the pre-recorded stuff is kind of a throw-off. And as a musician who plays for a living...playing to a click track, like his crew has to do (for all the sequenced parts like Transgressors Song and most of the other songs in the set ESPECIALLY Blessed), really takes you out of the moment and makes everything a lot more robotic and takes a lot of the feeling out of it. If you notice, his band rarely interacts with the each other, they're on separate parts of the stage, and everybody has in-ears that let them hear the click track. He's got a great band and they improvise really well. I just hope he brings in enough money to hire a bigger crew so they don't have to play the pre-recorded parts to the click, and they can just feel it out. Hopefully he can get a guitar tech to keep his tele in tune inbetween songs, too. This dude is the best R&B act out right now and deserves all the money and fame that he desires.
