Learn German the natural way with comprehensible easy German!
In the classroom we are told to endlessly study grammar and memorise concepts, however, research shows that language is acquired through authentic experiences. The concept of Natürlich German is based on Dr. Stephen Krashen's second language acquisition theory, in which one uses comprehensible input to acquire a language, rather than 'learn' it.

I love your videos. I was happy to hear you are learning Spanish and know about Dreaming Spanish. That channel played a large role in how my wife and I acquired Spanish and I hope to use your channel to help acquire German. Thanks. Keep up the good work.

Hi Anna, thank you for this excellent video. I have a question: your channel and that of a similarly named one are about the only ones available with comprehensible input for total beginners. How do you suggest supplementing your content? Obviously we can rewatch videos but would you use other materials such as Assimil etc?
Edit: I forgot to mention Peppa Pig but this is currently too difficult for me in German.

I’m currently reading Andre Klein’s “Cafe in Berlin” I believe it’s called, and it’s wonderful! Very easy to understand especially in conjunction with Anna’s content because her videos get lots of the nuts and bolts vocab out of the way pretty quick.
I also highly recommend Language Transfer for a solid and intuitive if incomplete rundown of the grammar and some major vocabulary (I know lots of people are against studying grammar alongside this comprehensible input stuff, but I find it can be quite useful in helping me comprehend), and I hear many German learners love the free program Nicos Weg, but I’ve only dabbled in this a bit so far.
      Hope this helps!
