This brings back some happy memories, kinda lost the bug after 3 years in Iceland hauling the out Cod and Haddock. Might have to invest in a little bit of lrf gear again when I pop back in June to visit the family back in Plymouth!
@@DevonLerfer masterful performance. Maybe I ten years I'll be able to get 15 in a day. Doubtful. I've just packed my waders into the car. Off to try for Bass and Flounder up the estuary
@@FishingAroundBudleigh you'd be surprised what you can tally up over a long day/night session mate, you could definitely do it! Good luck on the estuary! 🤞🎣
Super video. I've thought the bites had dried up on my local pier as the light starts fading when I'm using the light tackle, but maybe it's worth sticking it out into full darkness and it'll switch on again.
Agh! The scales on that poor wee Aji-Do ❤️❤️ Great fishing again Richard, that’s a mondo flounder! Our fishing up here has been on a rapid slow down in the last month, it’s very hard to find anything of interest.
😂 Those scales get everywhere man, still its nice to look at them now as I reminder if busy sessions 😂 yeah its just on the turn here now mate, will be focusing more on the freshwater side of things for a while soon I think! Tight lines man👍🎣
Great video mate and some lovely species there, but I bet you were really disappointed not getting a Whiting! Message me for some Whiting tips mate and I'll see if I can help you out? 🤣😂🤣😉🎣👌
Thanks mate 🙂 they are a little difficult to get hold of at the moment due to supply issues but Tacklewave are the uk distributors, maybe worth speaking to them 👍🎣
Thanks mate! It depends what you'll be targeting, where you'll be fishing, what sort of lures you're planning on throwing really mate. Your rod should have the recommended line rating written on it though which would give a rough idea. A rod like that is what I'd say yours is an ML rod, somewhere between LRF and HRF ratings. If pushed I'd say a 0.6pe braid would probably be a decent starting point with a leader of around 8lb
Gonna be hearing this tune in my sleep.
😂 in hindsight, it does go on a bit doesn't it 😂
Great video, some lovely fish, but, really love the mackerel and herring, so much fun on light gear.
Thanks mate, yeah I agree, they are perfect species for LRF I think, brilliant fun 🙂🎣
Brilliant watch as usual Rich 👏🏼👏🏼
Thank you mate, much appreciated 🙂 tight lines 👍🎣
That flattie! Stunning fish!
Thanks mate 😁🎣

Great video mate I really need to head down to mt battern breakwater soon you had 3 species that still aren’t on my list! Keep up the great work 🎣👍
Thanks mate, yeah Mount Batten is great for a bit of variety, can catch all sorts down there 🙂🎣
Amazing stuff guys as always
Thanks mate! Tight lines 🙂🎣
Perfect rockfishing🤘
Thanks man! 👍🎣
Nice idea again mate. You certainly knocked off some species that day.
Thanks mate, that was a really good day. Think I had 15 species in total!

Thanks Rich, that looked like a good session and, it brings back happy memories of blue sky and sunshine. That was a cracking flounder too
Cheers mate, was a very enjoyable session all round. It was really pleasant fishing under that wall! 🙂🎣
Oh my giddy aunt, what a fantastic evening session that was. Stonking flounder. Congratulations 👏👏
Haha thanks mate, it was definitely a session to remember 😁🎣
Quality session Rich 👌
Thank you mate, definitely one of the best of last year 🙂🎣

Thanks mate! Yeah definitely worth fishing on i reckon, darkness sessions are often particularly productive in winter down this way 👍🎣
Bet ya that big flounder give you some grief, class
It went well in the 3g rated rod 😂 cheers mate 👍🎣
Lovely session mate 🤩👌🏻
Thanks mate, was one of the best from last year for sure 🙂🎣
Nice video Richard
Thanks mate! 👍🎣
Great 👍🏻, if all goes bt plan I’ll be heading your way easter weekend 🤞, might squeeze in a few lrf sessions
Thanks man. Give us a shout if you are, would be great to meet up 🙂
@@DevonLerfer Sure, I will
Excellent work as per mate! Can’t fish at the moment but helps me get my fix
Thanks mate, sorry to hear you're not able to get out at the moment!

nice sessions bud, im not jealousat all......
Haha, cheers mate, that session seems seems like a distant memory now 😂
Is this recent? Water clarity is amazing!
Late November last year 🙂
Pretty cool vid, Rich. Hate them garfish, to be honest. You catch one and the whole rod gets covered in scales...
Cheers John, haha they are a messy, stinky fish but I do love them 🙂🎣

Cheers mate! 😂 I actually did get a whiting but it didn't make the cut 😢 i actually quite like targeting at this time of year, I'll be in touch mate 😂
@@DevonLerfer 😂🤣😂👍

Good to see haven’t been there for a while although I only live up the road when did you record this?
Back end of November mate, there will still be garfish around now though. We've had decent sessions on them in February in previous years 🙂
Hi great videos, just need a bit of advice, I’ve got a 3g-15g rod with 2000 size reel, what weight line and leader would be best?
