They have improved alot the user experience this year, I got razr plus 2023 the external display was really bad when you put the case on .... But it seems like they reckon it, i upgraded up to razr plus 2024 and believe me, i love the external display from moto more than samsung flip and xiaomi a lot ...
I have the Razr plus in Spring Green and I love it! This is my daily driver. Just love the phone and the fun it provides. It is certainly a head tuner.
A week in with the 2024, you can also see the screen with polarized glasses on, awesome review really excited about these phones they are beautiful devices
@@phoneux I was torn between the Razr+ and the Galaxy Flip 6. I liked both of them for different reasons, but I decided on the Razr because I liked the ability of doing certain things with the operating system. Seemed easier than having to download separate apps on the Galaxy Flip just to get things to function as they should. Ultimately, I thought the Razr was the better value as well.
I liked the fact that you've focused on aspects that I haven't seen other reviewers mention like the bumper, rails, and side buttons changes. Some people might not think they're worth mentioning, but I appreciate the little details. Also unless it is a faulty unit, the Razr+ 2023 should open up flat, I know mine after almost 8 months later still opens up flat.
This was a great comparison video. It’s helpful to know what has improved on a phone before jumping in to buy a new one. Hope they keep making progress on the camera.
I think anyone who isn't happy with the camera performance of the Razr+ '23 would be happy with the upgrade. Or if someone got a unit like mine where the hinge is not opening flat easily, since I found that a bit annoying. Besides that, I would hesitate to upgrade.
I have a 2023 razr + and the external screen fell and is now cracked. Im wondering if it would be better to get the new razr + or try to get the screen repaired.
Do the apps continue where you left off open to closed and closed to open? Also if left unlocked folded in pocket are the buttons over sensitive where the phone opens apps or makes phone calls.
The apps can continue on the other screen both when opening or closing the phone. The app just needs to be given permission to run on the cover screen before it can continue when closing the phone. I haven't noticed any apps opening while in my pocket, but I also have a lock screen. I don't know how sensitive it will be without the screen lock active.
The base model 2024 is so much improved to! It has the same front screen now as last years plus model, I been waiting on a more budget friendly model with a usable front display! So I'm going to to pick up the 2024 both new models have the better hinge to etc.
I have owned the 2020,2022,40 ultra, and I bought the 50 ultra, what's I've seen is with each model they have improved on the previous, the one thing I hope they improve on is timely OS updates,as for security updates they have been on time for me. Also why in America you only get the 256gb storage? The rest of the world get 512gb.This may be my last razr phone if they still have lackluster os support, this phone in Australia is $1699,still cheaper than flip6 which is around 2k with 512gb...peace mate.
That's a great point. They are slow on OS updates. I only just received Android 14 on the Razr+ '23 a few weeks ago. I don't get the limit on storage either. My guess is that the US is not as important as other markets for Motorola.
I have a 2023 razr and was trading up but after getting the 2024 version even though nice improvements did not feel enough of a wow upgrade to keep and pay the difference so I returned it, maybe next year, I do now miss the peek display pop up notifications appearing on the outer screen when received since after upgrading to android 14 as that function disappeared
I made a video about the battery life. The results were impressive, but I may run the test again to confirm. ruclips.net/video/QZNnxgyav3k/видео.htmlsi=3kUqCTLOOVr5INtt
Excellent review, and exceptional attention to detail, that most reviewers don’t point out. You should have way more views. Keep up the good work!
Thank you!

Love your review I can't wait to purchase a razr this year over a flip 6 😊
Thanks! It's a great year to venture away from the Z Flip series since Samsung's incentives weren't as great as other years.

I ordered my 2024 Razr+ in midnight blue. It should arrive in a few days.
Awesome! I'm sure you're going to like it.

Thanks for the feedback. Yeah, I likely have a faulty unit, but it was fully functional aside from the issue opening fully flat.
Thank you for the review. I like how you focused on the hardware differences from last year's model and in detail. I'm excited to get mine ❤
Awesome! I'm glad you found the video helpful. Thanks for watching.
great video. super useful comparisons
Thanks!

Just a slight clarification, the hot pink razr+ 2024/50 ultra is a suede-like material. I have it and it's a nice feeling material and unique
I still have my Motorola razor Plus 2023 and it's held up really nice what do you think should upgrade to the razor Plus 2024?

You definitely should, i have and i can tell it is such a huge improvement from 2023

I was surprised they gave the base Razr the same screen as last year's plus model, but that should put a gap between them and the competition.

Debating on Upgrading To The Razr+. My biggest concern is the battery life. If anyone could give me a brief idea on how long the battery last a day :)
I made a video about the battery life. The results were impressive, but I may run the test again to confirm.
