Missing SPB very badly, its really a very tough song nobody could have sung that song with such emotions ,he was 36 when he sang this song for the film in 1982 during this concert his age was 73,his passion for music made him sing with the same enthusiasm irrespective of his age and health issues,he is the one and only,nobody could replace his place in the music industry

It's actually very tough sad love failure song to sing in life performance shows. Because the song contains lots of variation and need the proper breath control.SPB sung this with superb attempt each time he sung. That's why we called him a legend. The emotion and pure lirics with the greatest Maestro Ilayarajas unbelievable music definitely superb. what else want to say.No words.🥰❤️🥰

Yes, you used the right word ' mesmerizing'. Mind-blowing composition by Ilayaraja and wonderful performance by SPB. When SPB sir died last year (2020), he was 74.

SPB and Ilayaraja were musical blessings to the Tamil film industry in the 70s, 80s and 90s. Blessed are the people who grew up listening to their music. There can only be one SPB and only Ilayaraja.

SPB and KJY are the two great singers the South have ever produced. Each have their own specials. KJY had formal training in Carnatic Classical Music, and he is more respected in Classical music industry than his filmy music. Film music is below his talent. He has a divine voice too which makes him special in film industry. However SPB never had a chance to under go formal training in Carnatic music. So singing songs specially with classical content is very difficult for him. But he overcame this short coming purely with his talent. He in fact refused to sing this particular song as it is Carnatic based. But as per SPM himself, Ilayaraja encourged him a lot to sing this song, and gave him lots of training and moral support to sing this particular song. I adore him as a simple human being with his down to earth attitude. Feel happy that you could land in this. Cheers.
