- I found some boxes with old slides that I wanted to make into digital copies. There are a lot of good scanners available to purchase but I knew that after I scanned my pictures I would never use it again. So I decided to build a cheap one myself. And its really good for my purpouses. Hope you can get something out of my video. Good luck!
Bravo Maestro, you just saved me an Amazon purchase waste of money. 👏👏👏👏👏👏
Great video! Thank you! Saving untold hundreds of (US) dollars on expensive slide scanners or duplication services. One thing to add, though: Why not use the iPhone's built-in 3 second delay between pressing the "Click" "button" and the actual "click"? This will remove any hand shakiness completely, almost guaranteeing in-focus all the time. In iOS 14.3, you would first (in Camera Mode) press the upward-facing "arrow" near the top of the phone, to reveal several options: touch the one that looks like a timer icon, and choose 3s or 10s (3 second delay or 10 second delay). The next Camera "click" will be delayed by that time allowing you to back away from the camera. Similar to the old-fashioned cable on older cameras that, when pushed, don't transfer finger movement to the shutter click. Hope this helps someone.
great tip! :)
Hi great video! Peter what kind of light diffuser did you use?
Thanks for sharing with us, I like to do crafty things and this one is one of the most helpful and educational..once again thank 🙏 you !!!
👍👍💯 %
I like the simplicity. Thanks
Love the video but not the music! It's the music I hear in my nightmares.
I was hearing the music at 1.50 speed. Horrifying. 😱
any relation to Dag ? I bet you did the sulpture too.Soprano sounds good.Base is less inspiring, probably a digital loop.
And the box is great; thanks.
Hi. I would be curious to know how many pixels you are left (vertical and horizontal) after you crop the actual photo from the picture of the slide. I’ve always thought that to do this job properly you either need a camera with a very high resolution or that it can focus at a very short distance.
well, I would not use this for professional results, but it works for getting slides in to your phone…
How about linking to a set of plans, or at least dimensions?
Different phones has different lenses and closeup capabilitys. See the film more like inspiration than instruction..
Wll done. Like the music.
Great video. The music is pretty distracting, however.
it would have been too good without the music 😆. seriously, i will think about that next time!
@@peterwiren Music is a good undertone (in general). Silence is deadly in videos like this. You can play with different tracks/styles if you want... but people don't know what it takes to not plagiarize music or buy stock music that is not that good. Somethings is better than nothing.
Excelente, favor plano o esquema y medidas, gracias
Hey friend give sizes project
neat
Where do you buy the LED Light?
Its a small filmlight. Amaran AL-M9. Any brand will work given that the size is small and flat..
What is that music?
Done it myself...
@@peterwiren Great DIY project, with some absolutely bonkers DIY jazz! Very creative, thought I was watching Naked Lunch or something. Those who say it is distracting only mean that it *demands attention* :)
Thanks for the instructions, but for me, the music is distracting. Pretty awful, actually. Couldn’t watch the video…
Why would you ruin photos like this? A cell phone does not have a color resolution to get a quality image from the slides.
You must have an old phone, it's all in the computational photography of the phone, they look quite good.
How is it "ruining" the slides? You still have the originals, you are just making digital copies in case the physical slides are destroyed. If you have a decent camera in your phone, the photos will be fine and you can always do color correction editing if you wish.
Great video but Jesus what is that terrible music?
thank you! I’ve made it myself 😬
@@peterwiren I didn't even care about the music until people mentioned it. Don't worry about the haters. It's your video! W/O music video would move much slower/be boring. If that's the focus of people then they missed the point. Great tips and setup instructions.
What is the White Sheet you are using?
Disgusting music so I didn't get it all because I had to turn that music off!
That noisy saxophone "music" in the background is xtremely annoying, headache inducing, and disturbing. Please remove it, if you want more subscribers.
17k views..... not sure people care that much. How about complimenting on the idea instead of being negative.
I love the music! Subscribing just for the great jazz.
