- Russia has denied that it hit a children's hospital in Ukraine's capital Kyiv on Monday - the country's largest pediatrics facility - in a missile attack that killed two people. The attack on the Ohmatdyt Children's Hospital was condemned by the United Nations Secretary General as the Security Council met earlier Tuesday in an emergency session where Russia was blamed for the attack by several council members.

Who cares what someone who bombed a children’s hospital says. They attacked Kiev with missiles and one hit a children’s hospital. Thinking that it was an air defense missile (which wouldn’t be positioned to strike Kiev) or some other reason is completely illogical and frankly just stupid. Anyone with a brain would logically see that it was Russia, even without the evidence of the cruise missile imbedded in the rubble of the hospital.

That’s a lie, only Russian news has been saying that. There are literal remnants of a Russian Kinzhal cruise missile in the rubble and pictures of said fragments. Not to mention, that fundamentally isn’t how air defense missiles work they aren’t ever positioned behind the city they’re trying to defend to intercept targets so it’s not really possible that one “fell out of the sky” and landed on the hospital.

General hospitals, primary care clinics, emergency departments and children’s hospitals were most frequently targeted. The majority of attacks took place during the first three months and in eastern Ukrainian oblasts. Heavy weaponry was employed in almost all attacks.
