He says he doesn't feel people on practice anymore, it's just useless now to pull for hours so now he is actually starting to increase the weights on his lifts slowly which he in past just used for rehab.
He is definitely better than he was in 2008. In 2008 he was 240-245 and since then he has gotten much bigger and significantly stronger. The level of the super heavyweight division in 2008 just isn’t where it is now
Devon uses those practice sessions exactly how anyone is supposed to. If it looks like he's intentionally giving up ground, it's very likely he knows he needs to work that particular scenario. He knows where he's weakest and he attacks those weaknesses in practice. If you're practicing just to remind people how dominating you are in your best positions, it's pointless.

Can you help determine whether this happened before or after the pull? (obviously this was 2019 match). If he tore it after that makes total sense, dave would have caused the injury. If he tore it before, that makes devon's win versus dave look really impressive imo.

Great video. Something ive been hearing whispers about that im not sure anyone has answered started with the following: On one of beerman's streams, he said devon pulled dave with a torn bicep. Can you help determine whether this happened before or after the pull? (obviously this was 2019 match). If he tore it after that makes total sense, dave would have caused the injury. If he tore it before, that makes devon's win versus dave look really impressive imo.
