Next to the British Armed Forces, the police have my utmost respect. Dealing with the shit they do for crap pay... I was a bouncer for a while, and I was apologising a lot of times. Saying how sorry I was they had to help us deal with drunk idiots instead of stopping real crime.

Had some random traffic controll stops by the police here in bavaria, Germany and all of them were just so nice and always up to a lil relaxed private conversation (smalltalk) and some jokes. Love them 😊
You should respect anyone like police , first responders etc who decide to go into a career that helps the society they're a part of. We can't do without them!

The difference between Police officers from the United States is that they are heavily armed as the United States has that dumb out of date 2nd amendment, where our ordinary Police officers are unarmed as hand guns, Automatic and semi Automatic weapons are banned and illegal to have. But unfortunately our unarmed Police officers have to put up with horrific behaviour, attacks and even death from the General public. The idea that a group of armed citizens could stop a government (armed militia) is ridiculous. I wouldn't want to live in a place without police. They deserve our thanks and respect.
