Best investment - have it for 1 year now and I‘m really satisfied with the Briffidi and the ability to match rackets 😃
For sure. I also found out that my racket had a crazy high swing weight, so I switched rackets and am much happier. The device works great.
How do you got it? Imported?
yes - had to pay quite some shipping costs to europe and on top there were still some costs for customs added, that i didn‘t think about in first place 😅 however, i don‘t want to think about that anymore and i‘m glad that the product helped me save quite some time and money on matching rackets since getting it
I dream of this machine since months and months... I thought I head succeeded in forgetting it, but here I am :-)
Same here 😂
Same as me mate 😭😂
I purchased the SW1 about a month ago. I was really impressed at the build quality!
Great device, really happy with it. Finally able to find out my racquet swingweight without paying thousands for a bigger machine. Currently running a 327SW on my blade 98 V8.
Less is more when adding weight because you also have to counterbalance what you put in the hoop in order to maintain the same balance which will increase the overall static weight. If your static weight gets too high than this will negatively affect your swing speed so its best to start small and incrementally by 0.5 of a gram increase the weight and undertake a trial process where you can play at your optimal level with the least amount of lead added. A really cool device might buy one in future.
Great video; great tool! Just got a Briffidi! Question/curious, when you guys made it stable, did you use that “crazy” steel BBS’s stuff, or, as Henrik, a lot of led (!!!), or something else???
Whats the puddy that your using to add weight easliy?
Anyone bought it in Europe? What were the import taxes and customs in EU?
shipping to austria was 39$ with fedex. not quite sure about customs anymore, but it might have been an additional 60-70€
Any link from Amazon Europe to purchase the lead needed for machine to keep it still ?
Does this work with a squash racquet?
Is that a 16 x19 prestige pro? Looks too thin to be the tour
Nice thank you
thanks for vid
There is a way, shown in TWU, to calculate your racket's swingweight, all you need is a stop watch and 2 pencils.
The one I've been using. It's quite handy and precise, although some measurements (such as the height of the top string from which you hang the racket) have a significant impact on the result with little deviations (1mm) and they are not that easy to make with precision. Even though, I would like to have a Briffidi just to measure Twistweight, as the home-made method for TW is quite more tedious.
I measured all my rackets to perfect SW. But I lost all matches.
Result:
I need a new SW machine…
Its cool but a very hefty price for a piece of 3d printed plastic. Cool nevertheless
Still a fraction of the price of a more professional machine. Good for the independent stringers who can't find a value in such an expensive tool (like my stringer)
Theres a lot more that goes into the development of this product than just 3D printing materials. It’s very thoughtfully designed, by a career engineer, the app gets regular updates and the product itself gets constant revisions for future generations. It’s also still, by far, the cheapest way to measure swingweight and I’ve found it to be more reliable than the machines the major brands produce.
It's definitely not just a piece of printed plastic. The cost of R&D and software development would be a lot even without the printed hardware (I work in software development and R&D btw). The manufacturer might be making a loss on each one for all we know.
You could reduce any product to an expensive piece of plastic. C'mon, the guy independently developed a product AND an accompanying app for a very niche market like ours
@@TennCom the cheapest way to measure swingweight is with two pencils and a book, its not that hard
