  • Being nestled in the Great Smoky Mountains makes Gatlinburg bear country. While the beloved black bears are a source of excitement for many visitors to this mountain town, it's important to remember they are wild animals and need to stay that way. In this Exploring with Elizabeth, we ride along with Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency black bear support biologist Janelle Musser to learn the dos and don'ts of bear country and what it means to be BearWise.
