With all the other football podcasts, I feel this one stands out the most having 3 amazing players all from different eras with the chemistry of a high school friend group absolutely amazing fellas
As a Type 1 diabetic professionals like Gary Mabbutt are inspirational. Seeing them thrive in conditions that would overwhelm most people with or without the condition. Winning the 91 FA Cup in the face of that kind of adversity is incredible to look back on.
Found it quite insensitive to describe Gary Mabbutt as a “really bad diabetic” and felt it highlighted the huge amount of misunderstanding and stigmas surrounding the condition.
19:25 I'm surprised Gary didn't mention the time he was in the studio with Ian Wright after a world cup game when Wrighty commented about a Michael Owen goal and how he almost creamed himself when he scored. I remember Gary saying, "Steady on Ian, it's only lunchtime'.
Been absolutely crying laughing at times watching this and I'm only 15 mins in. The most consistently brilliant podcast available by some stretch and somehow it keeps getting better. I think we the fans need to demand more episodes where you've all had a drink tho as this is banter gold tier standard. How much money have you got??? Amazing.

Class act you guys, & I echo those very best wishes to ‘Bashambauer’.. Chris has been a piston in the Blades engine room for almost a decade. He is in his testimonial season, and not many players are *THAT* instrumental & lasting in any football club’s progress these days.
Alan I played against Jimmy case on Monday with LFC foundation walking footy (it isn’t f’n walking mate) with older ex players and people in recovery (me severe brain injury & type 1 diabetic for 23 years) he absolutely snapped me he is still a hard CASE even at nearly 70! 🤣
I got to play in the Ian Rush tournament in Wales when I was 15. I could not understand Lucazad (sp?). It was like a thick orange drink. Served nice and warm on the sunny shores of Aberystwyth (it was summer and never over 60 degrees or sunny) it wasn't refreshing or all that tasty.
Love it when you guys are all actually in the room together! Always cracking eachother up and us too !
