Great video and awesome energy from the pro angler. He is what all fisherman should strive to be, great fisherman, respects the fish, knowledgeable, and explains things well. Thanks for the video man!!
I have this exact dark sleeper, I really need to use it. Never got a fish on it. What I really like about it, is that it's got some weight to it, so even though it's a small swimbait, you can still throw it on a baitcaster.
I bought a little sleep but haven't thrown it much, looks like it works. I've been throwing only sus-jerkbait lately, haven't touched soft plastic for a minute.
@@Wired2Fish how long of a leader do you normally use? been wanting to go braid to flouro for a while but when I've tried before i break a lot, was only using a 3ish foot leader.
Hi Matt. Thanks for watching it. This was a 1-ounce Dark Sleeper, color - Haze: wired2.fish/MegabassDarkSleeper And for future reference, all product details are in the description. Good fishing!
Great bait! Please don't buy this bait, they occasionally get sold out. Just because the sleeper catches big fish, it's not worth the wait. Also, don't tell your friends about this bait.
Lol, I tried one of these overpriced baits, lasted 1 day then got snagged and gone....so go ahead feed into the marketing it's so cool, fun, catch fish all day Woooooo! If you fish heavy grass lakes this is worthless
Hi Tony, this is Ryan. There were no fake fish catches in this video or any of our how-to videos. Just caught a bunch schooled up on this grassline using the dark sleeper.
That graphic on top of the water was genius.
Thanks Fishing VA. We'll work on doing more of this.
Oh my the graph overlay with visual points. Best vid to date!,!
Thanks Joshua!

I appreciate that Juan! Good fishing to you my friend. -Ryan
Been throwing the mag draft all year then following up with the dark sleeper. AMAZING BAITS
Solid 1-2 punch. Thanks for sharing Jay.
You should continue doing that graphic showing water depth in all your videos. It's really helpful
Ditto on this. Very helpful.
Noted! Will try incorporating more of this Scal Nation 👍.

Absolutely, that's one of the attributes we really enjoy from the Dark Sleeper product line as well. They range in size from 1/4-ounce up to 1-ounce.
I’m subbing based on this video. Great graphic. Great knowledge. Respectfully handled the fish. Excellent work all around!
Much appreciated!
The dark sleeper is a absolute dedley swimbait I wish the want to make a bigger one 💪👌
My favorite guy on wired2fish
Well thanks Jack, we have a good range to our staff overall -- with everyone speaking to someone I guess. Good fishing to you.

Dark Sleeper has made quite a name for itself as a deadly and versatile swimbait. It's Tackle Warehouse "Best Seller" status supports this.
I just ordered a couple of these to try.
Let us know how you do Howard. Good luck and have fun with them.
Great video. Are you throwing it on flurocarbon?
The mainline is a 30-pound braid to a 20-pound fluorocarbon leader (links in description). Would definitely work well on straight fluorocarbon too.

Love the video, just wish it had some footage of how the angler was actually working the bait instead of just cutting to the hook set.
What size and weight bait being fished in the video ?

Wired2Fish thanks, I didn’t realize the 1oz only came in 3.8” so that’s why I asked. Trying to decide between the 3.8” 1oz or 3/4oz
👍👏👏👏👏🎣👊!!!!
this would kill smalies in Erie
Absolutely!

Lol
Ha ha! Yep, it's money.
What is a good budget swimbait to use?
Academy sells H2O Express prerigged swimbaits in packs of 3 for $3.49.
They have a tendency to throw any bait..
Yet greater in this bait given its design. That statement is made based on a lot of experience fishing it.

Sorry to hear that. They've been stellar performers for us and many other folks. Never fun losing a bait with a decent price tag though.
LoL @ the first fish catch.... fake as can be! Sorry .... but no fish comes in that easy and that easy to grab... but hey it’s 2020 get us to it Tony
Nothing fake about it

@Tony Richards you clearly have never use a high gear ratio reel and a heavy rod, a good angler can ski 2lb fish easy in.
U are clearly jealous that u have not gotten onto a school feasting on the dark sleeper
Nothing fake at all !! Maybe you need some lessons ..
