    Here is another Globular Cluster, M3. Edmond Halley discovered it, but we know him for discovering something else :) Through this telescope, most globular clusters resemble a small pile of salt or sugar. Each grain is a sun, of course. Globular Clusters are some of our favorite things to look at, other than Saturn.
    To find them, I use Stellarium stellarium.org/
    It's free! You can use the program to simulate your night sky. When I practice pointing a telescope in Stellarium, I use their "Telrad" simulator.

    It's a common type of viewfinder and the three red rings will be projected onto the sky in Stellarium. Then you can practice "star hopping".

    Some globular clusters are easy, like the Hercules Globular Cluster (M13). Just aim at Hercules' armpit! M3 is a little trickier, and if you give a try in Stellarium you'll see what I mean :)
