      It is due to the fact that over the past year AI has sped up 500%. What was to be here in 20-40 years could be here next year if not sooner. LLMs were decades away yet we got them 2 years ago and that is how fast AI is moving now. And yes, if you ask why? This is simple. We found a faster way to train the systems. GPUs unlocked the power of what could be done with AI.

If you embrace agents NOW, instead of POO POOING, you can be among the first to offer your workflow(s) as plugin agents for these systems and roll along with and profit from the ongoing transition rather than take a back seat, smugly poo poo, become a victim, and watch it all flow past your eyes and through your fingers.

      They are massively wrong about the timescale for diffusing technology. Think more like 20 years from start to finish. Some activities will be quickly moved to AI. Some will take longer as the entire process will need to change from end to end. So Excel data entry or manipulation will go away. Having an agent plan and manage entire companies will take a while.

    • @VR_Wizard
      @VR_Wizard 8 месяцев назад +1

      Rule of thumb: tasks that people do regularily and where there is lots of data will be done by the AI (think of recording all the things you do on your pc and analysing it afterwards). Training Data equals capabilitues. The Agents will also know what they can do and what not. So think of 80% off your pc work will be done by bots and the 20% is so unique and different that you will do it yourself because the bot sais something like I have never seen such a task I cant help you with it.

    • @BigMTBrain
      @BigMTBrain 8 месяцев назад

      @@byrnemeister2008 Completely depends on the size of the company. But even for the largest companies, think in terms of hierarchy and interconnectedness. Say tier-1 is top executive and tier-4 is clerical. Each layer has departments that report upward. For each layer and department, you deploy specific agents to manage workflows. With proper planning and segmenting, even the largest company will be able to fully automate within one to two years. ...
      Still balking? Consider how long it would take an organization, with all policies and practices still in tact, to replace all of their current human workers with other human workers of the same skillsets... months, a year? ...
      You need to look at AGI as SUPER-human replacements - these things will THINK!... faster and better than any human or group of humans ever will. That's what you're not factoring in. You see the transition as some arduous drawn out slog, when in fact, you would be better to think of it simply as humans replacing humans, but where EACH of the replacement humans can replace HUNDREDS if not THOUSANDS of real humans. Then it's easier to conceive of how things can transition VERY quickly. It won't take nearly as long as you... think.

The difference is you had to have a ton of time, and programming knowledge to accomplish it, and even if you do, it has many problems. Change one variable, and the whole thing crashes.

    It’s astounding. At present, I think the role of a human is as a nexus of executive function, which will gradually set off higher and higher levels of AI workflows. At some point, it’ll make sense to generate AI workflows that upgrade human biology, so we’ll essentially start building amplifiers that deepen our own executive function. I suppose I’m imagining the emergence of AGI will precede it, but our agency will ultimately conjoin with higher systems. Both-and. We’ll generate AGI that’ll help coordinate our symbiotic growth and we’ll undergo numerous reframes to find a deeper sense of what “agency” actually means.

    This video was interesting, as usual. Of course AI agents will change everything.
    I love how the companies are presenting agents as these great things that will save time for everyone so we can go off and be happy and creative.
    The agents will also take everyone’s jobs and careers they have spent a lifetime building. The agents will now be the creative ones, so why will anyone need to be creative anymore? What will we be doing that is going to make us so happy after our jobs are gone, the agents are in control, and the agents are the creative ones? I guess we will all just frolic around all day long without any responsibilities, telling ourselves how happy we are that we no longer have to do any meaningful work, knowing that whatever we do, it will never be better than the machines that control us.

    • @brianmi40
      @brianmi40 8 месяцев назад +2

      "What will we be doing that is going to make us so happy after our jobs are gone, the agents are in control, and the agents are the creative ones?"
      If you needed a "job" in any way at all to make you "happy", you've had serious problems long before AI came along. Were you similarly bummed you could no longer do basic math faster once calculators showed up? Or sort or filter data faster than a spreadsheet on any computer? You were born into a world you couldn't run as fast as even the crappiest car, is this all so "shocking" to you in a world where technology has progressed exponentially since you were BORN?
      "The agents will also take everyone’s jobs and careers they have spent a lifetime building."
      GOOD. No one, I mean NO ONE should need a job or career to feel any self worth or satisfaction in their life.
      Instead we will all get a chance to live like a semi "wealthy" person, instead of our nose to the grind stone every day to feed, clothe and house ourselves. Billions around the world will re-learn sports, hobbies, education, travel. Finally have the time to learn to play guitar, piano, sax, or paint, sculpt. And not for profit to put food on the table, but as it SHOULD BE, for PERSONAL ENJOYMENT.
      In place of ever increasing house prices that literally fewer and fewer people can afford every month, let alone year, medical bills that bankrupt over 1 million people per year, horrible diseases, crappy jobs with an idiot boss, millions literally starving to death that you avoid thinking about, sweat shops with child labor making Nike shoes, the world can FINALLY FIX ITSELF and we can all have a fair shot at a happy life.
      Pretty damn good trade if you ask me.

    I think this might be egging it a bit too much. The people developing agents really don't seem to understand what people actually do. Sure people use software and computers a lot but that's not their job. The biggest part of most jobs is talking to people doing other jobs. ie, an accountant spends very little time simply entering invoices into a system, they spend their time working out why there is an issue, talking to people to find the solution. I would guess an agent would cut about 5% of the work load for most desk jobs, not significant enough to really change anything. To truly take off agents need to talk to other agents, but for that you need a complete system overhaul. That's not practical in most situation as it's all all or nothing proposition, and it's something 99.9% of companies will not take the chance on.

    I love the concept but it’s very disappointing that the rabbit example showcases a human teaching an AI how to apply search filters on a website - literally the EASIEST part of the task - and then they cut it off right when they “just look for the perfect place to stay.” That last part is the time consuming part of the task you want an agent to do for you. Later on I see Rabbit’s solution is literally the first search result. It’s akin to having someone type into Google for you and click the first link for you and call it a smart browser haha… if anything it wastes MORE time because now I just get one random result and I probably don’t like it, so now I have to go on a computer and do it all over myself.

    Keep in mind that the weak link in all security is psychological hacking which is exactly what AI agents will easily overcome on any device

    The rabbit is a deep and practical step towards something that can be called "humanAI", an entity of which a human is a part and is a creation functioning in the real world, not only in the lab... what will happen when something like a rabbit, using something like neuralink, enters the direct interactions with humans, and this will happen for sure, what will humanAI be, who will humans be... will humans only become an interface for AI to the real world... today humans create AI algorithms, although they do not fully understand how they work... but what will happen when AI starts generating its own code...? and this will happen... Will something like what happened in DeepMaind, when AI started training itself... what will AI be then and what goals will it set for itself...

      here is a Copilot generated TLDR
      This video is about the development of AI agents that can perform complex tasks on computers, such as booking flights, filling out forms, or creating presentations. The video discusses the current state of the art in AI agents, the challenges and opportunities they pose, and the future vision of having super smart personal assistants for work.

    Booking flights and hotels is simple. Nobody needs an AI to do that for them. As an open AI is focussed on the travel industry because it makes money. The AI agent will have affiliate credentials with the larger travel API’s. As an affiliate, they’ll get a commission. Otherwise… Let’s get real. Nobody needs an AI to book a hotel room.

    The rabbit hardware is pointless. The company itself has admitted it can just be a phone app.

    I think Rabbit will end up like the Cozmo robot; the company will keep up t3ch support for 2 or 3 years then it will probably move on and tell everyone who owns a Rabbit device that they need to upgrade to the new model because the old devices are no longer supported. Thats just my prediction but i just dont see the profit margins for this sort of product being good enough to sustain this business model beyond the hype-period.
    Better devices might come along, but it might just be that the users who already own these devices simply dont get enough use out of it to justify promoting its use to their friends or family..

    OpenAI going to do to MSFT what MSFT did to IBM. License AI to MSFT then all OSes and commoditize the OS.
