My mom told me to go see my grandad that day. After school I went to his house and he told me he had a surprise for me. We go to the garage and he showed me his ‘68 Camaro. Beautiful sky blue with white stripes. I fell in love with it, and to my surprise my grandad said “Happy Birthday”. I was shocked, I cried, my mom didn’t like me driving it but my dad always told her I was becoming a grown man and I needed to understand the importance of owning a car. I’m 52 now and I still have the Camaro

What was the magic about growing up in the 80s? There's so much amazing nostalgia that surrounds that time period. I can imagine it would be the analog age finally meeting the space age when video games and movies started showing mainstream culture what the future could look like. Must have been a great time to grow up :)

Summer 2019, I worked graveyard shift at a factory, and I got off work at 6:30 AM everyday, the sun was just coming up, I'd drive home after a long night of work listening to vaporwave/synthwave. That 5 minute drive was the best part of my day that summer, then I'd go home and smoke a little something I probably shouldn't have and watch the day start to these sounds.
time capsule music is what this is called. When u shut your eyes you immediately go back to the 80s early 90s times were simple life was meaningful things were organic and I don’t mean fruits, I mean life was organic chill, way more enjoyable no perfection was needed to execute a daily routine.
This is probably my all time favourite mix on RUclips for these genres. I don't remember when I discovered it but I keep coming back over and over again. Cheers mate! Gonna buy all the tracks to support the artists.
