Ok now I need to make my next junk journal a storage box to be kept in! For anyone having trouble getting their shiny cereal boxes to stick, I just lightly rough up the whole shiny side with a nail file.
Yeah it can be a little overwhelming lol my math wasn't perfect but you can just use your deck to get close to the size if you don't want to do lots of math 😆
Wow, the timing of this video is perfect! I'm expecting some new tarot and oracle decks in the mail, and a number of them won't have booklets included (just PDF versions) so now I have some great ideas on binding my own, as well as making sturdier/more convenient boxes for them. Really loved your tips and tutorials :)
I love edging my decks too. I have never trimmed any but have been so tempted to trim the Druidcraft. I love this box, great idea! Thank you for sharing! 😊
Thanks! The box is a super satisfying project to finish! I hope you try it! And trimming the druidcraft deck sounds like a good idea. I haven't tried trimming a deck either because, thankfully, I like all the borders of the decks I have. Maybe practicing on a deck of playing cards could be useful 😆
@@ElderberrySprout I actually don't mind boarders either, it's just the size of the Druidcraft that temps me to trim it. Although I will say, the images pop once it's trimmed from what I've seen. Lol 😊
I love this video! Thank you so much for making it. Also, I heard the music and was like "This sounds like Zelda music." *Reads description* Ha! I knew it!! I wonder if she is a Zelda fan.."
Ooooh red metallic sounds like it will look awesome afterwards! I have a pink metallic edged deck and it always feels so special to use cause of the sparkle ✨️ 💖
This was a very helpful video! I actually have one deck, my very first, that I don't have a box for! It's been in a pouch all this time. Can't wait to make a box for it!!! Thank you!
I'm so glad to hear it! I always feel uneasy keeping my decks in bags cause I feel like the corners will get beat up if I take the deck with me anywhere lol I wish you the best of luck on your first box making adventure! What a lucky deck!
Great video, i was thinking of making a box for the tiny deck too. The lazy person in me is wndering if you have a conversion for those measurements into metric? 😂 for reasons unknown to me, my old brain felt like it was learning an ancient language 🙈💛✨️
I didn't even think about metric! Sorry about that! Essentially I measure the cards width and height and add 1/2 centimeter on each side of the base of the box. I decide how tall I want the box to be (measure the stack of cards and add enough room for a book if I want, and then I cut my piece accordingly. When making the top of the box I meause the box and make it to fit the bottom of the box i have. Each one turn out different depending on what youre using to make it, so i find it easiest to work with whatever youve made and trace parts out from there! The little flatlay diagram is super helpful for my brain. Maybe you could do the same with your little deck! :) hope this helps!

Sanding it! Duh! That's the solution lol thank you! And having a storage box for a junk journal is such a cool idea!
I loved watching this... but uh all the math made me very much not want to create my own box lmao!
