I'm only at the 7:07 mark but I have to share the actual easy way to integrate chickens. Keep them in a dog kennel that is covered on top and 3 sides with food, water, roost and straw in it in the coop for a week. Then open the kennel about 30 minutes before sunset and supervise in case they need rescued. Usually you will then have to put them on the roost for a few nights for them to learn their new home.
I move their brooder into the main coop, also, at six weeks. For the first week, they stay in their brooder, then the second week, I let them out in the coop. By the third week they’re ready to go out in the run with the other chickens, although they’re pretty timid and stick to themselves for the first month.
When I change my flock around, in my experience thus far, I always have to go and retrieve the chickens from their original coop location, for at least three days. I actually have had one or two that took two weeks to actually integrate into another coop without trying to go back to the original. 😅
Ty acres of adventure. Hopefully they will all get along. We had a great experience with adding 3 chickies to one yo chickens. They all were getting along fine for a whole year but all of a sudden one small chicken started getting beat up by the 3 chickens we added over a year ago. So now we have to separate her in a small cage within the run. Thats our experience hopefully yous will have a better one Lord bless yous !
Wonderful video. New Subscriber. Beautiful animals. Your experiences and excitement is a joy to see in your friendly face. Love to your family. Have you raised fantail piegons?
We wanted eggs and right now nobody in our rural area had chickens. We ordered from a reputable company which ships pullets- we got 1 red star hen and an orpington. Guess what? 6 wks later one started crowing and got really big! Not a chicken.....darn. It caused chaos to be sure. we asked for another red star hen. They shipped a week earlier than planned, in the middle of a snow storm on a weird federal holiday for the post office and the post office closed at 11am! I drove over in freezing temps and begged them to reopen and not let my hen die in the cold in their office. Got her home and in one hour the other hen bloodied her beak by grabbing through a fence and shaking it. Its been 3 weeks and today after separating them off and on, then introducing, and so on- they are doing much better. the dominant girl still bosses and pecks here and there but she lets Roxy hang out near her much more. Now I have a rooster I have gotten attached to! He is in his own pen and seems very happy in his space. So far no takers here for him - he is so handsome.

Loosing chicken to predators because y’all forgot to lock them up. It’s not an excuse it was y’all fault that y’all lost those selfies. You have a responsibility to these chickens no such thing as forget.. Don’t get anymore chickens.

I have chickens, I live in Texas, very cold, lots of snow, but they are fine.
Lol, my backyard flock comes out during most weather. The American Breese says no way to snowing or colder days

Chickens should have feed down for them at all times especially during Winter!"
