TYFS these are beautiful . I got really excited about making for small gifts at church, until we got to the circle punches 😢 . I will try to figure it out thanks again for a beautiful idea.
@Terry-z8o I tried to think of an alternative way you could make these without the circle punch, but I just don't think they would work any other way. I hope you find a way, let me know if I can help. Thanks for watching 💗
@kellylynn6831 Perhaps, but you will risk the small butterfly on the back falling apart quickly with use or getting caught on whatever you're putting the paper clip on. The circle makes it easier to hold.
These are adorable! 🦋 Such a creative idea. Thank you for sharing…I don’t think they’re too simple to share…they are so pretty and you’ve given us lot of tips to create them as well as the display base. 🎉 Do you find that hot glue is strong enough for the paper clips to hold up over time? Have you used them at home to see how durable they are? I love how hot glue bonds so quickly, but sometimes I find that over time its adhesive doesn’t last…curious?
@shellyp8731 That's a very good point! I have thought about this in depth honestly, because I sell them I want them to last. I have used them myself at home and have been really rough on them to see what they will do, surprisingly they hold up really well. I tried using Fabri-tac once but the bond time took so long I abandoned that idea. The surface area to put glue is too small to put both hot glue and another glue so I went ahead and did the tutorial using hot glue only. I'm like you, I feel like hot glue does not hold long term on certain projects so I will use other glues on those projects. I can tell you're a thinker, great question. You could try using something stronger and let me know how it works 😊
@ Thank you so much for your quick response. I will try. On most paper clip projects I usually use fabric-tac or art glitter glue, but you do need to hold it together for drying time…and that can be challenging. Sometimes reverse tweezers help to hold in place while drying. I tend to not use hot glue because I always burn myself…😂. I’ve seen others use E6000, but that dry time is even longer. I’ll just bought some of these butterfly stickers so I hope to try this weekend and I’ll let you know! 🤗
Thank you! Now, I just want to sit and make 1000's of them!

Hi Shanda beautiful paperclip thank you for the tutorial I always wanted to learn how to make them
@cuthiessen01 Thanks! You are so welcome 😊
I love these!!
Thank you 😊
I would take the foam off the little one and use it as backing on the big butterfly, I think it would look more finished.
