For those unfamiliar: Bicycle Thieves - an Italian movie from the 50's where an impoverished family man is robbed of his source income on his first day of work and so harasses his way across Rome looking for the culprit until he finally sinks to the thief's level, only to be humiliated in front of his own son. Aguirre: The Wrath of God - A german movie from the 70's wherein a Spanish Conquistador successfully mutinies on his Captain, and then gets himself and all his men killed searching for El Dorado, all the while ranting about how he's going to overthrow Spain and fuck his daughter (who he also got killed). These are both very artful, groundbreaking films for the times they were made in, significant for their respective places in history, and definitely a must watch for prospective film majors. I'd also watch Avengers any day of the week before ever watching either of them ever again.

Yes, kinda. Movies are these things that people used to watch before Joker came out, but now that everything is Joker, there are very few left who remember those before-times.
It’s really funny because I’m on letterbox and many of the users are pretentious pricks who only like movies they show at film schools. The others are mostly people who just have bad tastes in movies, very few normal people on their. I lean toward the pretentious side but still love comic book movies and some schlocky stuff as well.

For those unfamiliar:
Bicycle Thieves - an Italian movie from the 50's where an impoverished family man is robbed of his source income on his first day of work and so harasses his way across Rome looking for the culprit until he finally sinks to the thief's level, only to be humiliated in front of his own son.
Aguirre: The Wrath of God - A german movie from the 70's wherein a Spanish Conquistador successfully mutinies on his Captain, and then gets himself and all his men killed searching for El Dorado, all the while ranting about how he's going to overthrow Spain and fuck his daughter (who he also got killed).
These are both very artful, groundbreaking films for the times they were made in, significant for their respective places in history, and definitely a must watch for prospective film majors.
I'd also watch Avengers any day of the week before ever watching either of them ever again.

It’s really funny because I’m on letterbox and many of the users are pretentious pricks who only like movies they show at film schools. The others are mostly people who just have bad tastes in movies, very few normal people on their. I lean toward the pretentious side but still love comic book movies and some schlocky stuff as well.
I'm just on there because I like movies but you're right, there's so many on there with bad taste, pretentious pricks and capeshit fans alike.
