    I have just planted a few bulbs (all different kinds) every year. I've been here now for 15 years and i love my bulbs! I never tried to make a bulb lawn, but the little "tommie" crocuses have spread into the grass.

      @@peggymontgomery894 Did you add the additional bulbs to your bulb lawn? Would love to see how it’s looking in spring 2024. 😊

    Would have loved more pictures of the lawn as it evolved, this seems like a fun & fairly easy way to get some spectacular spring color.

    Gorgeous! I have a little lawn area in front of a stone wall that I have a mix of daffodils planted in the lawn and I love it. I am definitely going to try this in another part of my garden. I am curious - how long after blooming do you wait to mow?

    • @peggymontgomery894
      @peggymontgomery894 Год назад +3

      Great question. We will wait until about the 3rd week in May. Not everything will be down by then but new research seems to suggest we can mow an earlier than we thought. We’ll mow it with the bag on and with the mower on the highest setting. Having the ring of mowed grass keeps it neat looking and gives us a no mow May in the front yard. Thank for watching!

    Has anyone tried this with Bermuda grass? I worry it would choke the bulbs out after the first year or so.

    • @GardenGateMagazine
      @GardenGateMagazine  Год назад

      They should survive with Bermuda grass as long as zone is good.
