I remember the first time I heard this I felt so emotional. I absolutely love his voice. I mean he doesnt have the widest range and he's not everyone's cup of tea since it's quite breathy and airy but I just love how it makes me smile and feel like at peace. it's so gorgeous and soothing. he is probably one of my fav vocalists style wise.

I used to listen to this on loop when walking home from school and sing along. 7 years later in my third year of uni, returning to this and reminiscing on all my old memories, my smiles and laughter and my youth with BTS. Anyone else?
I was looking at the comments of the original song by Tori Kelly, and I saw this guy, JungKook, constantly being mentioned there. Curious as I was, I decided to check out his cover. With this, I learned that he's a popular K-Pop celebrity, and he did a cover of this English song. His singing is absolutely excellent for a foreign singer, don't get me wrong, but it kept me thinking why he would do this cover in the first place. It seems to me, a newcomer, that he absolutely believes in the message of the song, and that he wants to express his feelings in this own, unique way. I don't know many artists that put so much emotion into their music nowadays, and it amazes me how much effort he must have put into this. It's this display of passion and energy that makes me want to check out his works now, even though I don't know much in the way of K-Pop. Absolute respect to this man for embracing the music, and I hope that his other works are just as beautiful. Edit: This comment I made three years ago is akin to a time capsule of my thoughts. Entering the K-Pop scene was a very meaningful experience for me, and I've learned a lot since then. I believed then and continue to believe now that music is meant to be a medium that transcends language and culture, and artists like Jungkook are beautiful representatives of that. Nonetheless, K-Pop and the artists who captivated me will always have a place in my heart. I like to keep an open mind when I explore new mediums, and K-Pop has definitely kept me interested long enough for me to stick to it. Not to mention every artist is seriously cute :D

Jungkook really does make me happy. When I first saw him I fell in love instantly, he's truly an angel. I'm very thankful that I came across BTS. They've changed my life for the better.
God even after all these years, I still come back to this and it honestly feels surreal how much Jungkook (and me myself for that matter) have grown during all these years of following Bangtan's music.

They can sing languages they don't know well because they don't have to think of the meaning, it's given to them phonetically, so they can just read it without having to know what it actually means. That's also how you get so many wtf English phrases in Kpop songs like "because I naughty naughty", "just close your lips, shut your tongue", "we hurricane", etc. etc. etc., they don't really know what the words they're saying mean all the time but they don't need to to repeat them

This song reminds me of a fresh winter morning, looking out the window of a crowded bus on my way to high school, I would listen to this song on repeat while looking at the dark sky.. 7 years have passed but when I listen to it after all this time I still feel like the 15 year old I once was.

Jungkook voice is just perfection, this genre of music suits him so much, I just hope Koreans would appreciate this kind of voice more, where there is no need for too much high notes and putting your whole emotions in the song with soft and soothing tone is just perfect. When the time comes where jungkook tries the solo area too I hope he choose to expand in this genre of music.

I love this song, but the way he makes it feel way different from the original is beautiful. He can't speak much English, but singing an English song is amazing. His soft voice makes it so good. back in 2017, as a local, this was one of the first videos i heard of jungkook’s voice through a vocal coach’s reaction. weeks later, i was learning how to differentiate their voices as a baby army & his stood out to me. why? because i’ve heard this voice before. full of breath, delicate, sentimental, passionate.. a sweet whisper. now, it’s hobiuary 2021 & i still come back to this video as it brings me back to the time when i learning to love bts for the first time.

Exactly one year ago, this was the song that played in the background as my crush kissed me for the first time. From that moment on, we were a couple and this was our song. It was my first relationship ever, and every day felt like dream. Everytime i listened to this song i was flooded with all the love i willingly carried, waiting for all the opportunity to share it with her. It was like a fairy tale, but other than that, we didn't end up happy ever after. The day she broke up was probably one of the worst day in my entire life, it was all so sudden and i didn't understand the world anymore, i had no idea where to go with all my simply leftover feelings that just had been thrown away as if there was nothing easier in the world than to leave me. At that point i couldn't listen to the song anymore. Whenever this coincidently started playing in my music libarey, i'd always feel the same deep, but bittersweet pain which made me cry everytime without me being able to do anything against it. When i decided to do myself something good, to stand back up and to learn how to love myself again first, I deleted this song, as i tried to delete all the pain i'd felt. It took me a hell lot of time, a lot of recovering and a lot of lessons about self love and self care, but now i'm back, listening to one of my most favorite songs ever for the first time in months and being totally fine with everything. I also said to myself that the day i'll be able to enjoy this song again will be the day i can be sure that I absolutely got over everything. I don't even know who cares about these i'll-tell-you-a-deep-ass-story-under-a-song-youtube-comments, but here I am, loving myself and absolutely fine.

Jungkook voice is just perfection, this genre of music suits him so much, I just hope Koreans would appreciate this kind of voice more, where there is no need for too much high notes and putting your whole emotions in the song with soft and soothing tone is just perfect. Exactly one year ago, this was the song that played in the background as my crush kissed me for the first time. From that moment on, we were a couple and this was our song. It was my first relationship ever, and every day felt like dream. Everytime i listened to this song i was flooded with all the love i willingly carried, waiting for all the opportunity to share it with her. It was like a fairy tale, but other than that, we didn't end up happy ever after. The day she broke up was probably one of the worst day in my entire life, it was all so sudden and i didn't understand the world anymore, i had no idea where to go with all my simply leftover feelings that just had been thrown away as if there was nothing easier in the world than to leave me. At that point i couldn't listen to the song anymore. Whenever this coincidently started playing in my music libarey, i'd always feel the same deep, but bittersweet pain which made me cry everytime without me being able to do anything against it. When i decided to do myself something good, to stand back up and to learn how to love myself again first, I deleted this song, as i tried to delete all the pain i'd felt. It took me a hell lot of time, a lot of recovering and a lot of lessons about self love and self care, but now i'm back, listening to one of my most favorite songs ever for the first time in months and being totally fine with everything. I also said to myself that the day i'll be able to enjoy this song again will be the day i can be sure that I absolutely got over everything.
