I Found a Sewer INFESTED with Mysterious Alien Fish!

- In today's video, I find a sewer FILLED with alien fish! I have always wondered what lives inside these roadside sewers, so I netted around to see what I could catch! I ended up catching baby oscars, baby plecos, and cichlids living in this polluted sewer! We then netted up mysterious alien fish called lampreys which looks like something out of a nightmare! So we then placed 2 fish traps in the sewer and went to net around in a spot FILLED with rare aquarium fish! We caught a rare purple crab before we were kicked out and chased by security! So we had to come back the next morning to get our fish traps and see what we caught! We did some netting before that and caught unknown catfish, baby fire eels, oscars, AND MORE! When we checked our fish traps we were shocked at the crazy fish we caught including a black knife fish, an unknown puffer fish, and a blind eel! We brought back all the cool finds to put into my backyard ponds! Should we go back and do a part 2 at this new spot?

You should collect Freshwater Crabs! And get a Gulper Catfish! :D
Yes
Yes, plese
Bro can you go to a river?
Can't believe you actually pulled a lamprey outa a sewer. Florida is wild.
I can’t believe he caught a pickled lamprey.
I can’t believe fish are in sewers in Wisconsin it’s just raccoons.

Yea
Yes
Helen needs a purple fish tank or even her own tank of fish like if you think the same
The purple crab you found is known as the purple shore crab which are extremely rare and endangered so I am really glad u found such a cool crab! 🦀
yeah but purple crabs also can be a sign of a extremely sick crab so glad he saved 'im
Florida fish and wildlife need to know about those lamprey!!!
Yes I read this and was trying to remember the name of that big leach thing!
LAMPREY
Sea lampreys are considered rare in Florida because there are less than ten documented records of lamprey caught from state waters in the last century. Previously, the most recent specimen recorded was collected in 1978.
You beat me to Google. Darn
Not true. We have caught atleast 10 of them in texas.
People just act like they know what they're talking about 😂
@@d1specdrifter they did say rare in Florida.
I KNEW IT when I saw it I said “is it a lamprey?” HAHAHA
I love watching you look for fish in the sewers because I like that you’re saving the fish from dying

Bobby you really need to contact the Florida Fish and Wildlife and let them know that you found two lampreys in there where what time what size I would freeze them and give them to them so that they can do their research but that's important information that they need to keep your environment happy and healthy. Truly an amazing video I absolutely love you guys keep up the great work. Make sure that you pass that information along the Florida Fish and Wildlife
This guy has caught so many rare fish and he doesnt even realize it
I think someone had them in an aquarium and when they got big, they started to die, so they released them.
Agreed, if they're going in there and dying, SOMETHING is wrong.
@@CaptChaos1968 doubt it, caring for them in a tank is almost impossible since they almost entirely feed on the blood of live fish and are quite sensitive
Dj
I think those fish escaped Area 51 😂.Also I think you should do a part two.
Yes can u do a part 2 then can u do a part 3 can u please do it please
My 7 year old fishing enthusiast just pulled me into the living room to show me that you caught a lamprey!! He only knew what they were because we had just watched a River Monsters episode where Jeremy Wade was trying to find a “vampire”. Crazy!!
P.S. he has recently found your channel and we all (my son, myself, and my husband) love your content! Good job! Keep doing what you love :)

Bobby you caught a baby black ghost knife fish!! That is amazing! You should set up two different tanks in your new fish room for it and Abby! They would look so cool next to each other! Fantastic video like always!!
I know.. soooo jealous...lol mine cost heaps def need it's own tank

It was a tiger Oscar lol I love when he gets excited lol super cute, I don't care about fish in general but his personality got me engaged lol
That is kinda cool but also kinda creepy
YES!!!PLEASE KEEP THE GHOSTKNIFE FISH! I’ve wanted to see you have one and watch it grow for ages! I’ve got one myself and love it! But they could grow a lot bigger in a pond instead of a tank like mine! Please keep it 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

gator gar are illegal in florida without a permit so it would have to be some sort of florida gar
It’s interesting, you call it a sewer, we would call it a drain. A sewer is for the stuff that comes from toilets. Drains are from the run off from roads, grey water etc. There is NO way you would find fish in a sewer! Rats and disease maybe, but no fish. I love your content, your enthusiasm shines through. You should keep records of what you catch and where, it might prove really important to studies later. 😊😊😊

You don,t need to be bosse
I'm sorry i didon't read it prople sossss or sorryyyyyyy
Man would love to see you travel to Australia or something and see what you can get! Big love from Australia!
Helen needs a raise for following you on these adventures 🤣
That crab you found is probably a Vampire Crab of some sort. They’re quite rare, but very popular in the exotic pet trade so that’s an amazing find.
Sea Lamprey can bet kept as pets, as they should scavenge of dead meat too, however you would have to set up a pond and or tank exclusively for them.
And obviously that Plecostomus you found is some form of designer Pleco, probably a golf spot or nugget Pleco of some morph. Also a super dope find.
That catfish that spined you is definitely a synodontis of some kind, although I’m not sure what.
And to me, that knife fish you caught is probably a black ghost knife fish but with damage to its tail.
And that puffer is definitely a pig nosed puffer. I’ve never seen them before myself and had to do my research to get a good ID.
You caught some really crazy and cool stuff today Bobby! Absolutely banger video.
could be a vampire crab but florida also has a thing known as a blue land crab which is native
@@amazingaquaticsandexotics3030 Are purple land crabs native there too? Could it be that? :o
@@artthounasty5877 if you mean Gecarcinus ruricola then they are indeed native to florida although crabs anywhere apart from britain are not my thing

The crab looks like a Vampire crab, which are freshwater. They can be aggressive towards other fish so be careful where you place it. Yet another pet that someone let into the sewers.
it could be a Palawan purple crab too look it up and look at the colors

You are very lucky to find those lamprey fish because those fish have lived on this earth for over 360+ million years now😅feel like you should've kept it as a souvenir 😂
Can’t believe you catch all these crazy fish I love your shows😍😃🤟👍👆
That crab is the coolest thing I've seen you catch!!
where did he put that crab
That crab is real pretty
Thank you so much for cleaning out the sewer dude that was like so nice of you!👍🏼🙂
this is unbeleivable
“Ok now I’m excited little Timmy here…”
Got me laughing 😂😂
It's so cool that you found some lamprey! I wonder whether they got stuck in the storm drains and died or whether the water temperatures are getting too hot for them? Here in the Pacific Northwest, the lamprey are important to native cultures. Work is being done to restore them to their original habitats. Bonneville dam has a visitor center at one of the fish ladders with an underwater viewing area. Lamprey often congregate on the windows.
really? thats so cool! i recognized the lamprey immediately because its an invasive species where im from!
I would suggest that you document what you find, where you find it, and what pond you put it in. That way you can catalogue all your findings. I would think that it would help to grow your channel. Authenticity always helps.
I love your content, but keep some records , it can only help. IJS.
Much love. ❤🎉
I like Timmy/ I like the name. ❤️☺️❤️☺️
You are lucky😊
Oh no way, I actually recognized the lamprey! Seeing the close-up unlocked memory of one of my parents’ fish cookbooks. The first part of the book was just illustrations and teaching you about species of fish. The actual recipes never interested me but I love learning about fish. Lampreys were in there!
Yeah,I had no idea lampreys are indigenous to Fla.I always imagined them in the UK and Europe.I love eel(unagi)sushi. However,I can't imagine something as grotesque as lampreys being eaten. And to think they were a delicacy for medieval nobles and wealthy creeps me out.
You and Helen have remarkable, fearless tenacity!
About those lamprey, they are a nasty invasive species, especially in the Great Lakes region. A while ago, my spouse caught several salmon and lake trout when fishing on Lake Michigan. One salmon had a live lamprey attached to its side. So disgusting! Even one is one too many.
They have done studies that they have been in the lakes for 10,000 years, but that being said they said they should be limited.
I live in wyandotte, michigan which is on the Detroit river. I'm big into fishing and I've heard some stories and seen a few myself. Someone caught a drum last year that had a small one attached to it right behind the gill plate
@@Sea-cucumber1151
Your reply was surprising. I like surprises, so I googled “lamprey in the Great Lakes”. Very enlightening.
According to Michigan State University, there are four native lamprey in the Great Lakes: chestnut, silver, American brook and northern brook lamprey. The American and northern lamprey are not parasitic to fish. The chestnut and silver are parasitic; they wound their host fish and rarely kill it. The lamprey I saw on the salmon may have been one of theses. I didn’t know about the native lamprey at that time. This information supports your point about lamprey, just not sea lamprey. Still quite disgusting.
The sea lamprey are the invasive species first seen in the Great Lakes in the 1930-1940s, had a destructive effect on the Great Lake fisheries, and brought lake trout to near extinction. Because they have no natural predators, are highly reproductive and destructive, preventive measures are in place to keep their population in check.
The sea lamprey is speculated to possibly be native to Lake Ontario only, which supports your point again for lamprey including sea lamprey.
However, it’s only through the Welland Canal that the sea lamprey were introduced to the other Great Lakes. Still disgusting parasites.
@@jacquelinegabriel443 what an awesome reply. So many people attack without research. You did research and even gave more info that I didn’t know. Very cool! And…they do breed in freshwater but die after spawning like salmon. Which the two he found was probably doing. So when we see babies do we think they are just leeches? Interesting thought. Nah I looked it up it looks like the babies travel to the sand and silt and eat underground stuff until they are 6 “ around 4-6 years then they become parasites.
Eat them
Go Go Good
get a lamprey in its own fish tank
Yeah
I love your videos. I've been watching your videos for a year, and when I want to watch someone catch fish, it's you. Keep doing what you're doing, it's awesome.
I love how excited you get with every single fish you get it’s like a little kid getting excited because they’re getting a pet
Awwww
It sucks blood and sticks on you
"Do u see something?" Hellen asked "Ya ItS iN mEh NeT." He replyed with sassy ness
I love that is always a dramatic intro
We actually learned about sea lampreys in school, and how they invaded the Great Lakes + what they’re doing to the local fish in the lakes. I had the chance to dissect a sea lamprey too :D
Even if you were only planning to leave those sewers for a tiny bit, NEVER leave the grates up. Bicyclists use the space right next to the curbs.
😮😮🎉🎉 I can’t believe you got a lamprey in the sewers
Purple is one of my favorite colors and I love crabs
You rebels!!! Running from security!!!
I love it when he called the fish little Timmy
Man!!! I wanted to discover alien life first!!! Lol

Love that you save such beautiful fish. I enjoy watching your videos.
You should 100% go back and try to catch a living lamprey!
They are so invasive in other areas. Best to euthanize them.
No no no. Unless you can house him separately. He'll destroy everything.
I love puffer fish❤
I love puffer fish❤
And also, yes, you should do a part two
And yes, he should try to get a lamp alive
Helen is so kind and loving bcz she helps Bobby ❤.
I love her but the fish sometimes I hate and gag 😅😅😅
Storm drains often lead straight to the ocean. Some sea water can back up into the drain. I think you have found one with brackish water. The lamprey and the crab are salt water species.
The Lamprey is so awesome!!!! I'm sad hes dead though. :(
Such a cool parasite.
They must be your lucky night because you’re hitting the jackpot and purple crabs are pretty cool. It might have some sort of weird disease and that weird Dema Gorgon fish is cool. I think she actually keep one as a pet but keep it in one thing.
Love you videos. Where's the part 2 of saving fish in an abandoned house? That has a pond in a backyard? we wanna see it.
I was looking for that as well!
Looks like a vampire crab! They need a land and water set up. I wouldn't put him in with your fish. But research cuz I haven't looked into keeping them myself for years.

The purple crab is called a purple shore crab
The Purple Shore Crab is a common crab of the family Varunidae that is indigenous to the West coast of United States,Canada, and Mexico. H. nudus was first described on 1847 by Adam White, and in 1851, James Dwight Dana formally classified the species
@@mykahjoy7422 it could also probably be a Palawan purple crab because it matched the colors of the crab perfect so someone probable had it as a pet and had to get rid of it
"Smeat ball" beautiful word 🌹
Wow cool car
I think you confuse storm drain with sewer drains. As a general rule sewer drains usually go to some sort of treatment vs storm drains that connect to rivers, streams, ditches & other waterways without any treatment. What you always fish in connect to various waterways directly. Now sewer drains not to be confused with sewage.
He uses storm drain and sewer synonymously 😂
Make sure you're very careful with lampreys they can be very dangerous😊

That black fish it's call "Blackghost" Fish (atleast in my country we call it like that) it's swim back & foward but doesn't bend it's body like knife fish, the way they swim is just unique. There's 3 type of that fish, the black one is the normal one.. The Albino.. And the bright Brown color one.. They are friendly so don't worry about mix them with other fish, they also a nocturnal fish, mine was always hiding when daylight and get active in the night, they're pretty rare and also cool fish to add in the tank.
Keep up the good work you will have 1m likes

I just had my salmon summit today at school and I learned all about those in one of my stations for it and they can’t hurt you I don’t think but it might be a little different from the ones I learned about
Looked like a red tiger oscar! The black fish is a ghost knife fish! And I hope you did not just infect all your ponds with cloudy eye disease that could be on that massive fire eel you caught. You really need to quarantine and treat any of those sewer fish before you add them to your ponds. You risk the chance of infecting the whole pond by just dropping them in.
that purple crab is so gorgeous 💜 idk where you leave that crab but i hope in you’re pond
God no its a vampire crab They can be aggressive towards other fish
