Got my favourite streamer to get this tank when it was 20 GJC telling them its price will rocket up....now its like 90ish.....Its such a good little tank - fast, agile, well armed, now has Air Tracking IRST, Amphibious, adjustable height, Tandem ATGMs, reverse gearbox and Gen 2 Thermals
I love the BMD-4 it's so much better then the BMP-3 at the same BR, the BMP-3 mobility kills it for me, it's one of the slowest IFV's, and the ATGM reload as well. I hope the BMP-3M with the ATGM reload, APFSDS and better engine come to the game for those that do not have the BMD-4
You mean the BMD-2M? Basically the same mod that the BMP-2M received except half the missiles (1x2 Kornet Launcher on the side of the turret and updated fire control system)
No, the BMP-3M is an improvement over the BMP-3, with new autoloader, Sodema sight, newer engine and more part commonality with the BMD-4M. The current BMP-3 in game is an old BMP-3 upgraded with the Sodema sight the BMP-3M are all newly built. The Bherezhok module hasn't been installed in a BMP-3 to my knowledge
Why bother when you can use the laser rangefinder with it? Idk how people don't know about that, but if you select "Weapon 3" you can directly use the 100mm gun with the laser rangefinder.

You won't get 100% accuracy compared to using the laser rangefinder, and if you have the weapon select keybinded properly it takes WAY less pressing one key than mousing around with it. I just don't believe this claim. P.D: The BMD-4 is my most played vehicle, trust me that if it was "faster" I would know. It's just literally not.

I started playing around that time, I didn't have a rank 3 until mid the event, and I didn't understand the tasks, hope there was a system of 2000 points like today instead of specific tasks :(
Remember when this could carry up to like 30 missiles or something? 🤣This is siuch a great event vehicle and I'll go as far to say it's worth picking up from the marketplace, for 8.7 this thing cannot dissapoint, it's fast, it's small but most importantly extremely lethal.
The BMD is in my opinion the best light tank in the game. It has hydro pneumatic suspension, which means you can lower your height AND get more gun depression.
I grinded the event for that, didn't redeem it since I only had that vehicle for its BR back then and when you could also have like 30 missiles. I really hated grinding the modules for it this year or so until I realized it was a straight upgrade from the BMP3 in the tech tree and didn't feel bad nowadays

Could you please suggest Gaijin to update the models of the Bf109 from the F1 to the G6 so that the propeller spinner actually spins like it does on the G10, G14 and K4? It looks really fake when you have a skin with a spiral painted on the spinner and once the engine is on, the spiral just becomes parallel lines or if you have a skin with a white and black coloured spinner it becomes a grey spinner. Has anyone else noticed this?

The BMD 3 has the 100mm Gun Launcher, there is the BMD-2M which is a BMD version of the BMP-2M with 2 Kornet Missiles, 30mm 2A42 Autocannon and Thermals
Having thermals literally does not matter half the time, it only matters in really long range when you want to be able to quickly see a small thing moving far away without having to search super hard. He would have killed the strv with or without thermals.

Surprised to hear its so expensive now. When I bought mine off the marketplace it was like ~$40 or so.
The HE shell is good too. I have a user sight that lets me use it up to ~600 meters.

@@sayny the laser rangefinder zeroes the 30mm, so you end up guesstimating with the 100 mm. I’d rather not worry about swapping weapons and all that

The reload of the ATGM is also better compared with the BMP-3 - both sitting on the same BR is a joke.
Counterpoint, I believe it's not got the same missile load. 4 ATGMs can really limit you.

One of the best tanks in the game, I still use it at 12.0 and it claps. Sucks against Abrams tho lol
True the 30mm can shoot through the sides of Leopards but not Abrams

By far my favorite ground vehicle in warthunder. One of my top irl. And the original bmd4 looks so much cooler than the bmd4m
its only draw back is LOW ATGMS(4) count and main gun not effected by laser range finder so you cant even use HE rounds
You can actually laser rangefind the HE rounds when you select the secondary weapon in the settings

It probably wouldn't be too bad at a more appropriate BR. I think it avoids being put at 10.0 because so few have/use it.
