I have been searching for this song for nearly ten years. I heard it once and wasn't told who performed it. Every now and then I would hit "small car driving" in google and until today I got no results.
this truly, on my own cd player finally, truly does blow my mind...that fckn marvin..that voice those words....dammmann!! i got in my Big luxury sedan...my truck is dead...& went the easy 97 miles an hour & listen to this... hey, there is one thing one thing one thing, he wants to say...i heard him & i will remember what he did say...if ever u are not feeling so well......yeeeahh, marvin, yeah john, i love u!! xx00
My great uncle Herbert was the driver of the bus. It happened on the Natchez Trace about 30 miles out of Tupelo. He said that Marvin just appeared on the road like a flash of light ..took him about 100 feet to stop and the strange thing was there wasn't a drop of blood anywhere and that lizards crawled onto the road and began to feed on his body while Marvin was whispering in a chant like voice "chunk chunk chunk"-Herbert said he didn't seem to be in pain but he did ask for cake. True all true.
I heard that he had a small canvas portfolio with him when he was run over, filled with anatomical sketches of an ear which, according to his annotations, belonged to God. "One of many," ran a footnote.
very good, too good, i could not have provided better info,or love, my self! blessings upon yr head...i;m sure he did have the canvas portfolio fulla wonderful things when he was run over....oh i have no doubt!
Not to burst anyone's imagination, but Marvin Pontiac is a fictitious character created by the musician, singer, songwriter named John Lurie of The Lounge Lizards. I too thought he was a real person at one time. Doesn't change the quality of his music though.
1996 I met Mr. Pontiac on a pier on Brooklyn. He was looking for his friend Ruben. He gave me a piece of cake.

lol Just joking. That Marvin! What a character!
I heard that Marvin Pontiac is said to be seen in the deep forest of the Down by Law.
Hello farmer
i swear the singers are saying something else after the "big people" verse. very jarring when you're 4 hours into an acid trip
Aluminum!
John Lurie, Marc robot, et al
Is there any significance to a picture of William Parker here?
did you know that Marvin Pontiac was kidnapped by aliens, brought back to earth and later killed by a bus? it´s so sad...
