Thank you so much for sharing your question! Depending on the intensity of the curls, you will probably not get a completely smoothened result to start with. If you´d like to refine your curls, reduce the volume, add some smoothness and even out the curl pattern, it is absolutely a good idea to go for the Kerasilk Keratin Treatment.
For the first time, it can be done with the rinse-out step to see how much the curls will be smoothened and how you like it. Kindly guide me i have curly hairs and i do want to defrizz them but i don't want to get them totally straight so how to achieve little bit defrizzed look so that both straight n curly hairstyles could be achieved
Thank you for your question! Please ask your stylist for a Kerasilk Refinement De-Frizz Service. This can be done very easily with a rinsing step inbetween and less strokes on bigger sections. It will create soft relaxed, defined curls.
After this service, your air-dried hair will be still curly with reduced frizz. And if you like to blow dry, it´s very easy to get a smooth look with e.g. a paddle brush. Of course it all depends on your curl pattern, therefore a proper consultation at your salon is key. 🤍
Hello! I'm a stylist of 23 years, and have been a Goldwell user since the beginning of my career. Nothing compares to Goldwell, and I absolutely love the new line! The only issue I'm having is not understanding when or if color can be applied on the same day as this service. I've found that if I color the hair immediately before providing the keratin service, that it causes color fade. If I apply the color immediately after the service it doesn't take as well. In the past I would schedule clients on two separate days for each service. Keratin first, then color. But I would think that keratin would be more beneficial after a color service. I can't find a definitive answer to this question. I have many clients that would prefer to be able to receive their color and keratin treatment during the same visit, but it appears as though that isn't possible. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong. Any tips or help with this would be greatly appreciated! ❤
I’m a stylist of 25 years. I always do the color first then the keratin. I formulate the color a level or so darker to compensate for the color slightly lifting during the keratin treatment. I have not had any problems with the color not being saturated enough. I believe the keratin seals in the color as that’s why I prefer to do the color first. I do both services the same day.

If a color service is desired on the same day, we recommend using a permanent hair color such as Topchic, or a semi-permanent like Colorance Cover Plus directly after the Kerasilk Keratin Treatment.
In this case we recommend to conduct the color service after the final shampoo, and apply the Kerasilk Smoothing Finishing Serum after the color mass to seal both services in one step.
For Colorance core shades or Gloss Tones we recommend to wait for one or two weeks for optimal results.
Hello. What's the difference between this service and kerasilk keratin smoothing one?
Does this one also make hair straight? Or it's just a aftercare treatment after the keratin smoothing treatment?

Hi, I have had this treatment done once and it was great. However, I have a question. The stylist sold me the Goldwell Kerasilk shampoo to use after the treatment, but I later realized it contains sulfates. I have heard that sulfates will destroy a keratin treatment and you should always use a sulfate-free shampoo to maintain the treatment. Is this true? If so, why does the Kerasilk shampoo contain sulfates?

It depends on the curls, and if you want to straighten them or not with the KERASILK Keratin Treatment.
Option 1, you want to straighten: KERASILK Keratin Treatment will not provide pin-straight hair; there will always be some movement, but if the hair is not highly textured, you can expect a very smooth result.
Option 2, you want to keep the curls and just reduce the unrulyness and frizz, as well as the volume: in this case a Refinement Service with a rinsing step and less intense smoothing with the flat iron will keep and emphasize the natural shape of the hair, but make it less unruly and way easier to manage.
Can i go to the pool regularly with this treatment?
