These are absolutely adorable. thank you so much for all you do in teaching and sharing your patterns. You are truly a fabulous, beautiful and kind lady inside and out.
Your patterns are amazing, it's difficult to find such detailed and precise creatures and I really appreciate them. Your creativity and talent is so inspiring! I am using them to create the cutest cuddly friends for my daughter, who will be born early next year
What's better than a symmetry-breaking sassy croc? Uh, nothing?! I was going to ask if you had plans for more complex patterns with funky shapes (and also larger/more huggable), but you kinda beat me to it! Love the twisted pose and the striped back, it's a really clever design! The teeth are awesome too, not just embroidered on! I think I get way to excited about crochet, I've been working on a tricky pattern lately and I'm loving it, and I want more 😅
Finally finished my first croc, mines slightly different as I'm a lefty, so he curls the other way 😂. Wish I could attach a photo lol. Thank you for such amazing designs xxx
I love seeing you make astralian animals! I've seen a lot of patterns over the years, but l think it's very had to capture them well unless you live here as our animals are so diverse and unique! Would love to see you're take on sugar gliders! I think you capture the animals here beautify!
I took inspiration from your beautiful eyes and after some testing, id recommend an opaque nail polish for the spotted eyes, it works really well and give a more clean finish then acrylic paints from my trials
if I were to do this left handed, will there be complications or will it turn out different? I learned to crochet left handed so I don't know if there will be issues doing it left handed compared to right handed (and I dont mind learning right handed, but that might be a longer process :'3)
Hi this is so cute and I love you videos easy for me to follow ? My niece would like me to make this for her but she wants a soft yarn so it's snuggly Can this pattern be made with plushy bulky 5 yarn? Thank you
Hi! I'm using 20mm solid black plastic safety eyes, no particular brand as I buy them in bulk off ebay. I've used acrylic paint and Kmart paint markers to paint them. :)
I'm having problems with R10 and R11, I'm not sure if its wrong or if I'm doing it wrong but I had to change R10 to 3sc, inc to get 22 stitches at the end, then with R11 I can't do it at all because I'm only getting 32 with doing 4sc, inc, 3sc, inc. Do I try and get the amount of stitches the row says it needs or do I do the stitches it says?
Hello! I was making this pattern and trying to use your method for enlarging the pattern. Do you have any recommendations for how to do this correctly? I got the body to turn out well, but the Croc-top is a little tricky. I'd appreciate your help!! @ComplicatedKnots
Hi! The bottom being backwards is a bit odd, does flipping the top piece over help them match? As for the top being too short, first thing I'd check is if your yarns are the same size. It is meant to be a pretty tight fit. If it's only a little too short you could add a row or two of sc to lengthen the tail?
Try using invisible decreases instead! You pick up the front loop only of the two stitches you are decreasing into, yarn over and pull up a loop. Then yarn over and pull through both loops on your hook to complete the stitch. Anything other than that is probably just tension and practise :)
@@ComplicatedKnots oh, thank you so much for the reply!! if I use invisible decreases for the stripey 'cover' though, I end up with small visible lines where the back loop can be seen on the other side. is that supposed to happen?
Hello again Complicated Knots. I have a question about the legs. Do you crochet in the yellow stitches in the Triple crochet or do you skip them completely? I’m almost done with my Crocodile. I just need to make the legs. Please reply to this comment as soon as possible.
Hi! I love this pattern so much and I want to make one in the next few days. I am wondering though, if I wanted to make it larger and softer would the pattern still work using a chunky yarn and bigger hook? Or should I just stick to the same yarn and hook size you use? I’m a little newer to crochet so I’m not sure how different yarn size crosses over. Thank you!
I’m confused how the 18 stictches is supposed to go over the 13 sc, unless she meant 13 slip stitches to move the starting point. I’m just confuseddddd someone help
Hmmmm, it's a bit tricky to say without seeing him, but my best guesses would be 1) Is the positioning of the legs causing the issue? 2) Are the stripes of the croc top laying flat against the base piece? His neck does curve up slightly from the head, but it shouldn't be hunching him over.
@@ComplicatedKnots i wish I could send you a picture of him. Everyone says he's cute. I'm going to try again to see if I come out with a different outcome.
@@nadinefranklin2309 I've been thinking about it, and you could also double check that the "cheeks" are level with where the first lot of short-rows start. If the face is too far forward it might be emphasizing the neck curve and give him a hunch... good luck! :)
The written pattern will be available in a couple of days, but for anyone looking for the Loki crown pattern, check out the description ;)
Its so cutee! I know what im making next lmaoo!!
I think you’re amazingly talented and beautiful 🤩
Do you have a link to your original alligator? My friend is having a baby and she LOVES the original one but I can't find it :(
to make teeth sharper, you can make a pico from one loop on top of a double crochet stitch

This is amazing! I just got the perfect colours for this project... now, just to find the gold yarn in this mess... lord give me strength
I love the revised one and the original! They're so cute! Im going to make one as soon as I go yarn shopping!
I would love to make the original one but can't find any chance you could share the link please

That will be so cute! I can picture it 🙂

I'm making this croc for a book week costume. I could have sworn you had a video about painting the eyes but I can't find it! Am I losing my mind?
Is the back flap on the eyes to be sewn flat, or folded under?
i love it with thw helmet. Can you make pattern for it?

@@ComplicatedKnots Thanks so much! I sent you a message with a picture on Instagram. Perhaps that will help us figure out what my son is doing wrong.
I had the same problem!
So talented!!
Do you crochet invisible dec stitches or regular ones ?
how do you decrease so seamlessly? my decreases (using the generic method mentioned in the video description) always end up lumpy! :-(
Try using invisible decreases instead! You pick up the front loop only of the two stitches you are decreasing into, yarn over and pull up a loop. Then yarn over and pull through both loops on your hook to complete the stitch. Anything other than that is probably just tension and practise :)

If you do another knot my idea drawing/voting I have two suggestions
A wolf and a red panda
Excellent ideas, I'll add them to the bucket. There will be more KMI before the end of the year!
This is adorable! Do you know how big it ended up being like in inches maybe?
Approx. 5" long, 4" tall :)

You treat the triples like any other stitch (work into them). The only difference is that being super long, they'll bulge out to create toenails.
Thanks!
is it just me or did the video get mirrored around 12:20, suddenly the body is bending the opposite way

I have made this pattern in bulky, it totally works. Just make sure you use the same type of yarn for all the pieces so they fit together :)

I’m confused how the 18 stictches is supposed to go over the 13 sc, unless she meant 13 slip stitches to move the starting point. I’m just confuseddddd someone help
I believe she means, do 13 sc, chain 1, turn, then do 18 sc over the 13 sc plus the additional 5 sc. Hope this makes sense!
I did this little guy and he turned out hunch back. What did I do wrong?
Hmmmm, it's a bit tricky to say without seeing him, but my best guesses would be 1) Is the positioning of the legs causing the issue? 2) Are the stripes of the croc top laying flat against the base piece? His neck does curve up slightly from the head, but it shouldn't be hunching him over.
