Wind Turbine Gearbox Exchange in Alaska

In this video, the LiftWerx team is completing the first crane-less major component exchange in Alaska. This work is performed at a remote wind farm, inaccessible by roads or highway links of any kind, situated roughly 170 miles (270km) south of the Arctic Circle.
Employing a newly-designed crane system and turbine interface, this project demonstrates the entire value chain that LiftWerx can offer to its customers: wind turbine repair, crane and tooling design, and execution of complex logistics.
