I believe it was implied that his alt-mode, aside from being capable of producing Matrices, was the key to Vector Sigma? I may be remembering incorrectly.
@@tinyshinyfeathers no, that was the functionist excuse to open vector sigma. the functionist council combined into the key to vector sigma, but the key was not needed to access it in the first place, rung was completely unneeded
I actually like how in the depressing post apocalyptic Last Bot Standing we have a cute/adorable Bunnybot.
Funny thing about Sky-Byte teaming up wih Jazz in the IDW comics. At least one species of shark has shown a preference for jazz music in a series of tests to see what kind of music they react the best to during feeding trials.

I really which they made a GenSel - like package with all those marginal small bots heck, a perfect collection of Bob, NIckel and Moon in "core class+" would certaintly work!

My theory: If Sky-Byte was introduced in Beast Wars, his alt mode would have been a megalodon.
Moon looks just like a Sonic character, wich is funny taking in to account that IDW worked in both franchises
The bay verse concept arts are absolutely crazy
Transmute is a cinnamon roll that will give you nightmares by accident
Heard she got an alt universe design where she wasn't a half baked potato clock and is a happy bot livin life at one point in the comics
in the comics she looked..pretty-close to a alternatively colored version of transformers primes arcee. who had trouble connecting with others but was still a kind and naive person.
that comic version is fully working in body, as a recolor of arcee, but still has the neurodiverget setup. luckilly it's a warmer and more easygoing universe
she also got a GenSel of a skeletral tyrannosaurus that transforms by falling apart and getting back together
I liked her personally. That episode is one of the better and more humanizing episodes too

Honestly, Alpha Q would make a great villain for newer continuities. They could even remodel the Quintessons in general to look more like AQ.
perhaps he could be one of the nicer Quintessons that got kicked out by the others

I have a soft spot in my heart for Moon, personally. His robot mode was kind of bland though.
i honestly could see him getting a redesign where he has a vehicle mode and his robot mode being a anthropomorphic version of his beast mode thus making him kinda like the Decepticons from RID2015
The heck does Froid even turn into? And yeah, BM Rattrap was a clusterf**k from start to finish. The guy looks like living would be painful for him.
Froid's robot mode seems to be HEAVILY inspired by Transmetal Terrorsaur's design. So it seems to be safe to assume he turns into some kind of Cybertronian jet.
Also, he looks like TF Prime Soundwave, so slick cybertronian jet/drone fits just alright
I never understood why Rattrap looked like a 19th century paperboy
I think the reason both Megatron and Galvatron's performances in Transformers: Prime were more subdued was because Frank Welker's vocal cords can't handle the strain of Megs'/Galv's voice for extended periods of time during the recording sessions. But I find the more smoldering, barely contained rage just under the surface, of the more low-key Megatron more menacing that the cackeling 80's Saturday morning cartoon villain of yore.
Because it shows that he's calm,collected, and vicious.
No need to do great displays of anger and madness, just pure military authority and ruthless cunning make him threaning.

Also if you thought Flamewar was weird for her design, I'd recommend looking into Thunderblast as she uh... let's just say they put a bit too much love into her model which can be very clearly seen in the episodes: "Starscream" and "Memory" of Transformers: Cybertron.
They are all based of Blackarachnia. Whose design i kid you not was inspired by an asian stripper from the strip joint that the people from Mainframe entertainment frequented.

Hot Rod’s ship looks like if an Angry Bird had a baby with captain falcon’s helmet.
Couple of includes. Monstructor, the combiner that also went mad, was created by Jhiaxus and Optimus Prime had to try to reason with him/it or something. There was a short story in the original comics set in a dystopian future featuring monster pretenders that all looked weird and one bot turned into a piano(!). Also Emirate Xaaron who never had an alt mode and whose mouth had vertical bits. Oh, and Bludgeon, the samurai, bot mode was missing his lower jaw.
Haha the piano one sounds awesome. Although as a disguise it still makes more sense than cosmos

Xaaron _did_ have an alt-mode (some kind of combat vehicle), but never actually used it. I think there was one comic where he nearly transformed out of desperation, but was also concerned that the strain of transforming after remaining in robot mode for thousands of years could probably kill him.
I always figured Allspark robots were like that because, well, that is literally their first few moments of life after being a completely inanimate, nonsentient creature. That seems like the perfect background for something just being either completely feral or lacking in any kind of morality.
I love that Transmutate doesn't even have a funny name in the thumbnail. She's just Transmutate

And something straight out of Resident Evil which fun VA fact, did you know that Grimlock’s OG voice actor, Greg Berger voiced Nemesis Type-T in Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City?
I would've like to see you give a shout-out to the rock lords from gobots as dishonorable mention. They literally just turn into rocks. I know they aren't technically transformers, but they are in a transformer franchise gray area now.
The Rocklords vs the Grand Architect's Treebots needs to happen...

I think the most disturbing BW design to me is Emputate.
Bayverse dorito Starscream is another weird TF mech... why is he built like that?

The reason he was built like a Dorito is becauese of his alt mode, the F-22 Raptor. If you look at its shaoe, it's a bit triangular and also F-22s was nicknamed "Dorito" by many pilots
Beast machines drones were more mecha
Cus he turns into a ln F-22, a triangular jet
Unicron's creations from another universe: Hook, Line, and Sinker in the original marvel continuity. I know, not technically transformers, but I always loved their designs.
Yo the Protoform is one of the best episodes of Beast Wars. It sympathized Rampage as a more rounded character, touched on mutations and how quick "others" are ostracized for being different. Don't shy away from it, recommend it
especially given he does a monolauge to transmutate as the suffers in the pod cheering them on as he knows that pain he says twisted a form of endearment not an insult as he is a twisted being

The Japanese Beast Wars Transformers are all redecos of either toys that didn't make it into the American show or stuff from Machine Wars. The only original molds are the Convoys, Galvatron, And Probably Magmatron. With the Predacons from Car Robots being all Transmetal 2 redecos from Beast Wars. Except Gigatron.

I feel the other valuable reason the allspark energy makes evil bots is... The allspark cannot thrive in a poisoned world - Unicron's famous words from Transformers prime, Predacons rising. And given, he technically is earth

About the Prime “Galvatron” he is still Megatron as that is what he is called and in one of the aligned continuity books Galvatron was basically a crazy cult leader that was obsessed with dark Energon so it’s a IDW style kinda and Megatron was still Megatron but with a Unicron upgrade
Ironic how Whirl’s torture in order to make him look like a generic drone made him the most unique character in the franchise.

I’ve always interpreted it as him turning into one of those talking plush dolls like Teddy Ruxpin. His original backstory is that he’s an Earthling transformer born in Japan (explaining the wacky alt-mode.) That’s partly the reason why I love him so much, such a unique alt-mode. The other reason- very, _very_ hot take, I adore his voice.
Froid looks like Impactor and prime Soundwave combined
Bro no. The Fallen design in the life action films was not one of the most letdown designs.
The only thing I think they screwed up is his character in the film. He had so much potential but no he gets killed. The comic book of his origin is actually good and really helps with his design, showing how ancient the primes look compare to the normal cybertronians.
A few of the Fuzors including Torca and Injector were also in the Beast Wars Neo anime
I actually owned the injector toy....Hornet and lionfish....we really did have the best toys growing up...all the imagination in the world without the use of cell phones to entertain us....90s to the max.
I did my best to collect the Beast Wars set. I had Inferno, Black Arachnia, redesigned Primal, redesigned Rattrap, Silverbolt and redesigned Megatron. I wish I had held onto them, but I never grew sentimental attachments to my toys or anything. It was always easy for me to give away my old stuff
Froids’ head looks like a space marine and it’s really throwing me off.
A part of me thinks that transmutate would have been a rattite like an ostrich or cassawary since she had backwards bird knees and a long bendy neck but may have gotten caught between the process of being scaned and instead of the changes being added to a metal outershell it was aplied directly to the internal structures which would explain the different body shape compared to any other bot.
Suprised you didn't bring up Extinction, being the perfected Dinobot combiner or beast wars neo Galvatron, having one of the craziest looking Dragon modes I've seen
Personally, I think that the G1 Super Pretenders (I think: I can't quite recall which ones were the super, mega and ultra pretenders, but I'm talking about the ones that had a transforming robot in a humanoid pretender shell that can ride in a larger, vehicle shaped pretender shell) were pretty crazy. I sort of get what Hasbro were trying to do, but they still just come across as Transformers Russian Matryoshka dolls to me.
Also, Flamewar has NOTHING on Thunderblast from TF Cybertron. The animators actually gave T-blast a pair of *AHEM* items of milk-producing anatomy, which can clearly be seen under her breastplate in a couple of low-angle shots.
Mega Pretenders are Crossblades, Thunderwing, and Vroom. (Transformable outer shells that have their own vehicle mode. Both the shell and the inner robot can combine to form an upgraded vehicle.)
Ultra Pretenders are Roadblock and Skyhammer. (Basically the shells have alt modes that the inner robot can ride in, and said alt modes can fit inside another, larger vehicle shell).
I don’t recall “Super Pretenders” being a thing (I found nothing on them) but I could be wrong.

The actual Aligned continuity Galvatron is a cult leader. Basically Jim Jones.
Another tree bot type can be found in the story of IDW's King Grimlock which were constructed by a Dark Sorcerer known as a Quintesson. All of whom were no match for the king of the Dinobots.

In Cyberverse His Talking is Just YaY (:✨☄️🌌. And I think Dead End was Probably the Fourth Dread In the Dread Gang Tbh. And I Think was an Early Design For Him.

Funny, I actually had the toaster bot as a kid. It was one of the only ones that weren't broken later.
Saw someones comment about Thunderblast maybe you should make a video about uhm. Most suggestive designs-? Nah you just gon get demonitized like instantly. Fr tho when i checked Thunderblast i spent five minutes staring like, "Whatsup with Thunderblast? She looks normal, wha-?" Then there was a shot from like under her and WHAT IS HAPPENING??
honestly, all movieverse constructicons are really weird looking. Theres mixmaster looking like a gibon with barels glue to its arms, overload being arachnoid body horror, hightower is more similar to a dinosaur than anything, rampage being a lamia with tread whips. Long haul looked the most normal out of the bunch
also literaly the entire beast wars neo cast are just weird on top on having shelformery mess of toys(aside from that tanuki dude, he was cool)
I think its so interesting that the most memorable and generally liked designs (at least in my experience) are the cybertronians put through empurata.

I'm fairly certain the Rodimus.... rod is fake and is just a photoshop, however Nexus Prime was originally going to be called Nexus Maximus but was changed due to sharing a name with a pleasure device.

At 11:07 with Demolisher I don't know if that's his name or not 'cuz the Studio Series figurine calls him Scavenger, like the OG Constructicon. Idk, it's most likely a continuity mistake like in the 2007 live action where they called the tank Devastator, and then added the REAL Devastator in the RotF and renamed the tank Brawl when making figurines.
Edit: And also when you said "Almost identical Scavenger" at 11:23 I think theirs actually two teams of Constructicons because in the desert scenes you can see Rampage, Scrapper, Long Haul, and Mixmaster (Maybe a few more) fighting even though Devastator is already deployed and fighting the Twin Autobots.
thats not galvatron in transformers prime ... i know its dumb but he is called unicron megatron because galvatron was mentioned in the alligned continuitys books where he has no connection to megatron like in the idw comics

I think it is implied, it was just made before people really stated to care for autism and thus insensitive today. They did state it in later comics tho

The NSFW toy isn't a real item--at least, not the image shown. The picture is just a bad photoshop of Titanium Rodimus Prime. I'm pretty sure there aren't any REAL Transformers-branded...,er, "women's items"; there definitely aren't any official ones and even if some weird knockoff thing with a logo crudely slapped on it existed I don't think it'd actually transform very well, if at all.
