Precursor to 'The Gadd Gang'. Nothing gets funkier or more comfortable than this. Every player leaves room for every other player to shine. These boys have ears and fingers to match.
Been a fan of of Stuff since my teenage years. Started seeing them in NYC at the age of 15. They were considered to be the top session musicians in the '70s and 80's. . RIP Richard, Eric and Cornell.
What’s the name of the singer? I was blessed to play guitar with these guys! Gordon had many different names but it was always groove Heaven for me. And always an honor to play guitar alongside Cornell, Eric, Richard, Chris, and Gordon. And backing such great fingers as Joe Cocker, Esther Phillips, etc.
The best band nobody has ever heard of.. let's keep it that way, hidden gem :)
Agreed!

Never heard a band building up such a simple groove that way. Simply amazing!

“Singers”. Haha.
Wow that's an incredible resume! I can only imagine, and that's a good question. Per the DVD, her name is Odetta.
that's Odetta! she was rocking the folk scene when Bob Dylan was still in his britches, a true legend
Aw man,you played with them? You have a blessed piece of musical history.
とってもすばらしいLive映像で感動モノです!ただし、「Steve Gadd with Stuff」などというグループはありませんのでご注意(笑)
This has to be the closest an audience has ever gotten to clapping in time.
Need to order another Stuff tshirt. Maybe a burgundy one.
¡¡ Que barbaridad!!
Thanks man lol, it's a really good song.
I completely agree 100% lol, that's why I had to get this video up, thanks man!
Over the top.no one like them
Who is the woman singing?
I think it's Odetta Holmes
With all due respect and that there are some fine players on stage. How did Eric Gale gain so much notoriety?
Him being a musician I would guess it would be his music? Just a guess but I'd say that's probably why lmao
