In my opinion Amorphis made one of the greatest comebacks in music history with the new singer Tomi Joutsen/Eclipse album, after having been 'not so good' on the three albums after Elegy. I loved Silver Bride from the first listen, but now I'm almost addicted to this song.

I saw them last year live on Wacken Festival, his voice is on stage even better than on CD .. and he can switch between these two different voices (the high clean voice and the deep growls) in seconds .. really awesome!
sometimes there is just so much talent in one spot, it's a wonder the monitor doesn't melt or explode. These lyrics are so so good and about such an awesome source you could sing them deadpan atonal and still feel it-I know the band does not write the lyrics, however the combination is incredible.

Funny enough, I actually sang this at late-night karaoke at an anime con once because the concept made me think of pillow waifus. For a song almost nobody had heard before, it got one of the best crowd reactions of the night (to the point where everyone was singing the "Queen of gold" between my growls after the first few times).
This whole music video and the name of the song reminds me about Kalevala... There's a story how blacksmith Ilmarinen made himself a new bride of silver after his wife died and Louhi, the ruler of Northland refused to give her another daughter to Ilmarinen...
Berkan Polat Also, Skyforger not only about Kalevala in general, but the in fact handles the story of blacksmith Ilmarinen. That dude forged Sampo, a device that produced wealth, like crops and money. He also did some forging for the sky, both of which are present on the album.
In the Kalevale this poem is called "The Golden Bride".Ilmarinen is the blacksmith and he forges her out of silver.Amorophis is an great band and every album has references to the Kalaevala.

Under The Red Cloud is my favorite album by them. Am Universum is good, i like Silent Waters, and Eclipse is pretty sweet. Even "Circle" has its good songs. This song and Death of a King got me into them
