I love this channel - B&Q is probably the biggest and best DIY outlet in the UK and it should do more to rival the US ones constantly promoted on YT.

Love that headboard! How much all the material would cost for a double bed?
Hi, Jena. We're glad to hear you've got some inspiration from this video! 🧡
I've worked out the cost and quantities for the wood materials and added in links for you below (in reference to a double bed headboard). The total price works out at £198.47 from current prices. The MDF board will need to be cut to size, but you may be able to find something smaller in store which will work out slightly cheaper. I hope this helps 😊

What’s the cost roughly
Hi Roger, there are many factors that we need to take into consideration such as, dimensions, style and whether you are looking to do the headboard or partial/full wall.

what grit sandpaper would you recommend?
Hi, there. Thanks forgetting in touch! For heavy sanding and stripping, you need coarse sandpaper grit measuring 40- to 60-grit; for smoothing surfaces and removing small imperfections, choose medium sandpaper from 80- to 120-grit sandpaper. To finish surfaces smoothly, use a super fine sandpaper with 400- to 600-grit.
Hope this helps!
What size is the wood?
Hi Selena, all details can be found in the video. Please see 0:43 for the wood we have used for panelling the wall. You can also find the products used, clicking on the information icon (i) at the top right of the video. I hope this helps! 😊
@@bandq Thank you soooooo much!
You're welcome 😊
What is the measurement for the higher bracket on the back of the mdf?
Hi there, these details can be found in the video at timestamps 2:30 & 2:55. Measurements are at the top left of the video 😊
Currently doing this myself! Can I glue the slats onto an mdf plasterboard then glue/nail that onto the wall? Or would I need to add the support battens?
This is just for a living room and not a bedroom headboard - I just dont want to glue several slats onto the wall individually and would prefer it to all be in one piece on the mdf board
Hi Sam, sorry for the delay. Yes, you can mount the board to your wall using appropriate fixings i.e. rawlplugs for a solid wall or plasterboard fixings for partition type walls. I hope this helps!
Wouldn't the slats need to be pressed firmly against the wall for some time, in order for the grab adhesive to set?
What's the solution for this without using nails etc?
Hi there, we recommend within the 10-minute working time, hold the surfaces together for 20-60 seconds for a fast grab. Heavy objects may require temporary support. When held in place if slippage was noticed that would be an indication that the substrate is too heavy/large, then in this instance we would recommend supporting the material.
Taking the above into account it would really depend on the project, taking into consideration the size, dimensions, and material being used. The majority of Grab adhesives allow the 10 minutes to grab to allow for repositioning etc of the substrate being stuck. I hope this helps!
