- Fran meets her dream man, a handsome, young doctor. They have an amazing first date but he turns out to be her cousin.
From Season 4 Episode 13, 'Kissing Cousins'. Fran meets an incredible man at a singles bar. He's Jewish, a doctor and rich- Fran's perfect man! They have a great first date in which Fran fantasizes about their life together. Shortly after, Fran is a bridesmaid in her cousin's wedding. She is surprised that Bob is also at the wedding. Fran's mom reveals that Bob is in fact Fran's cousin. Guest starring Jon Stewart.

Nanny started really well but they ruined the show at the end where they change the storyline to getting Fran married to Max even Fran admit that in one of her interviews , because of that Fran & Max the intense between them vanished

The soap opera scene was a parody of Dynasty. She was supposed to be Alexis Colby who was originally played by Joan Collins, the actress who played, you guessed it, Mr. Sheffield’s stepmother.

Depends how big your family is and where they live. I don’t know half of my first degree cousins (I’m estimating about 20-30 since I have like 14 aunts/uncles some in mexico some scattered in the US). I can’t imagine knowing all my second degree ones.

No Jewish family I've known has never been unaware of such close relatives, even if there's bad blood between them or are scattered across the country, world or residing in Israel. Family members inform each other of marriages, births, deaths--and works its way through the grapevine.
