      Glad you like it Darcy. I think I currently have four pieces of BC Rail equipment. Eventually I want to build a few of their boxcars.

      Thanks Mike. Still lots on the workbench, and planned. I have 3 more SD60f bases waiting for bodies, 2 more rotary gons, which will give me 7 out of a planned 20 car train, and I hope to start on a GP9rm/slug this winter. Retirement is busy. :P

      @@CanadianrailroadsCa Well made gondolas, congrats! I have also made one since they don’t sell g scale long gondolas, but it is very time consuming to build one, I think I’ll settle for the one I made for now, LOL.

    What manufacturers made these freight cars and those two CN Diesel engines?

    • @CanadianrailroadsCa
      @CanadianrailroadsCa 3 года назад

      Jack, the SD75I's started out as USA Trains SD70MAC's. The boxcars are USA Trains/AML/Aristocraft, and the rotary gons are scratch built.

    So what cosmetic changes did you make that identify it as a SD75I...do the engine road numbers reflect that series....very nice models!!!

    • @CanadianrailroadsCa
      @CanadianrailroadsCa 3 года назад +1

      Thanks Michael. Yes 5626-5800 were SD75I's. The biggest changes are removing 5/8" between the rear vents and tail, and removing the raised walkway on the conductor side. The following playlist includes photos of the build showing what was done. ruclips.net/p/PLhGj7xB62-u0I3W4iE1jS8uZKqO2V_hrS

    • @CanadianrailroadsCa
      @CanadianrailroadsCa 3 года назад +1

      Thanks Scott. This pair of locos are the first I have used RailPro on, and I'll be using it on all future locomotives. They have a great sound library, and I like being able to kick in the dynamic brakes coming down the hills. All of my older locomotives are using Revo's, and will stay that way as I can't justify the cost of changing them over.

  • @AlbertaBoundRailfanning

    Never have I been so excited for a video :) Those two look (and sound!!!) phenomenal! Those remind me of trains I'd see on the Coronado, coke cars and boxcars on the way up, and then coke cars and the power turned around on the way back :P Great work Shane!!

    • @CanadianrailroadsCa
      @CanadianrailroadsCa 3 года назад +1

      Thanks Bricks. You'd almost think I planned on making it look like a short 557, though I don't know if that number still runs on your line. :P It will be nice to see them running once the yard turns green. I guess the only thing remaining to be tested is the SD40-2w. I think it and the 6028 will pair up to haul a short 512 up the Beamer. :)

    • @AlbertaBoundRailfanning
      @AlbertaBoundRailfanning 3 года назад +1

      I think that sounds like a very good idea! Yes haha, 557 is still the southbound, and 556 is the northbound! 757 would be the southbound coke loads.
