    As Marina would say “You are just haters” 😊
    But for real it would not be a problem with her if she were just blogging her life in English but she claims she is a TEACHER! That’s the problem.
    Think about that this way
    There’s a woman claiming she is a doctor who knows how to treat cancer. A person (millions of people if to be exact) who has it goes to her, believes her, pays money and thinks they are getting the right treatment. It turns out later the treatment doesn’t work. Two other doctors show up and tell everybody “hey it’s not the right treatment from cancer because…(explain by facts why)” and immediately they get blamed by the fake doctor for being haters. That’s how I see it.
    Thank you Kevin and Liza.

    Marina's 'progress' is the British pronunciation. I think she has talked about having more exposure to British English when she first started learning; that would explain it.

      I consume British resources in order to learn more English but I never mistook the pronunciation, perhaps she can't differentiate one from another and that results in her making mistakes.

    Does anyone feel uneasy to see the woman gradually covering wider range of topics? You might think it's a sign of the growing fraudster business, but remember, she's the type of person that fakes it till she makes it.

  • @englishwithmrd
    @englishwithmrd Месяц назад +2

    I thought she might have been going for the similar phrasal verb 'swept up' - to be absorbed/carried away by something.

    I guess she meant to use phrasal verb sweep away, but anyway the verb forms are different - swept away; sweeping away; sweeps away:
    sweep somebody along/away/up
    [usually passive] to make somebody very interested or involved in something, especially in a way that makes them forget everything else
    They were swept along by the force of their emotions.
    He was swept up in all the excitement.

    Please tell me, why did you use plural form of the word “intestine” in question “Do you have any problems with your intestines?” Isn’t this verb should be used in single form ? Thanks a lot

    • @user-tt9jx5ms1h
      @user-tt9jx5ms1h Месяц назад +1

      the word intestines is a noun. The long, tube-shaped organ in the abdomen that completes the process of digestion. The intestine has two parts, the small (upper)intestine and the large (lower) intestine. So it is countable. Also called bowel.

    It is strange that they teach millions of people the wrong English. I think you should learn with the native speaker and the owner of the land. I am not racist, but everyone has their own language.
