Honestly, it seems like you all wanted to change more things about the house than things you liked and wanted to keep. Was this just the cheapest house you guys liked? Also you were saying the height was a big thing for you but you were nearly touching the top of the door in the dining room, it seems like you settled. Ig I’m just confused why invest almost a million dollars to fix up a house and buying it when you could’ve bought a house for half of that, that you fully loved. Maybe if you guys had more time to look??
The house is exactly what we were looking for, there were manyyy different factors as to why we went with this one than others. Some houses we shared may have “looked nice” but the bones of the house weren’t good. We wanted a house with a great school district, decent taxes, GREAT neighborhood, LAND, and that’s exactly what we got. Because I shared all the things I want to change to the house doesn’t take away the beauty of it. It simply means we want to make it our OWN, not someone else’s. Regardless of the house we chose we would’ve done ALOT to it bc it’s not a house we BUILT but bought, therefore there would be things we don’t love. 🤗
P.s just a tip, you should always buy the “shittest” house in the best neighborhood. 😉

Best advice I can give to you from someone who bought a home that needed a lot of remodeling… please please take your time don’t rush the process make every project enjoyable and try not to stress the little things cause it does get overwhelming other then that god bless your home and enjoy it !!
Agree 100% is good to live in the house for a bit to get an idea how your lifestyle feels and make changes little by little i made this mistake rushed to change things and regretted my choices later 😅

DO NOT Get rid of those Tiffany stained glass light fixtures! They are worth so much money! Also Ceiling fans are a great way to save money on the AC especially on the upstairs floors. Also if you have any ceramic/porcelein/cast iron tubs you don't want to get rid of those as they are incredibly expensive now a days. Good luck with your Reno journey!

Changing the paint, floors, and lighting will make it look like a completely different home in no time! If you need any fixer upper advise from someone who has been thru it I’m always here to talk 🖤 Haveee fun! Can’t wait to see how everything turns out.

Omg dont remove the breakfast nook wood planks! Just paint them white! I see so many of those designer home improvements & one of the things they add to create more value for the home are those wood plank panels! Usually in white!

Ahh thank you, I think it’s beautiful for those that like that look, but we don’t really like the paneling look that thin, it looks very farmhouse and it’s not really the style we’re going with 😅
There are so many shades of white. Refrain from the insane asylum look 😂 consider different creams to add dimension & ambiance to varying parts of your home. Accent walls & walls that'll be dedicated to artwork & pictures.
I remember when you’d jam out to a good cleaning session in your small room you had when living with your mom!

Natalie, I am so so proud of you… I am Puerto Rican and could probably be your mom… I feel like you are my daughter in my head… I was the first one of my siblings to buy a home and it meant the world to the rest of my family…..The one advice I have for you is to take your time decorating. You are going to find out how expensive things are. The banister is beautiful I would just stain it another color, don’t remove it. And the primary bedroom is so big, I love it. Anyway sweetheart I just wanted to tell you how proud I am of you. I know we don’t know each other but I’ve been a follower for a few years. You and ‘Eric have come such a long way it’s been a pleasure watching you both grown but especially you……. PS, look into white washing the brick. My friend did it at her house and it came out beautiful. And it’s a job that you and Eric could do it on your own. Just make sure you do the research to get the correct products. OK enough of me, congratulations and I can’t wait to go along with you in this new journey….❤❤❤

3:24 omg girl! Keep the french doors! Paint them black since the rest of the house will be white or any color really. You can get decorative privacy film to put over the glass that'll give it an elegant touch. You can even change out the door handles & hardware for silver or gold or black whatever you like! You can add a decorative trim to fill the gap on top too!

Keep all trim girl. Trim is known as a sign of quality home. Need you to sit down & creatively dig deep. Spend more time doing creative research, digging deep, & creating mood boards. Execution is the fastest. So take your time in the creative process! Its a beautiful home. Consider what vibes youre going for i.e. luxury, cottage, victorian, baroque, art nuveau, modern, or a beautiful combination ✨️

Floors looks great except that spot, the French doors need to be replaced with ones that are properly framed …and yes get rid of carpets above …kitchen def needs a renovation…the room with all the plugs…why on the window frames?!
As far as the kitchen yr right remove that wall entirely , yes a counter depth fridge . Paint cabinets frame, change door fronts, as far as the wood “planksz’ wainscoting - just paint it…either a fresh white or a pop of color sage, grey. You’re right about the outlets , in the family room too, why outlets in the frame…the window you love so much - could be wider. The garage is fine- just paint the floor , add shelving along wall…the yard …the pool meh ..the cabinets in laundry roommates are fine , just needs better paint …lucky to have a finished basement. Congrats girl …the home will change and grow with you two….my game plan is to do the master bedroom first…so at the end of the day when the house is chaotic ….you retire to a nice bedroom.

I was excited to see this video but I had to stop because the camera movements were making me dizzy. This happened with your previous house hunting video as well. Idea for the awkward closet in master bedroom: if the chimney is brick, what if you guys were to remove the drywall to expose the brick and perhaps add shelving between the wall and the chimney? It would make a cute book shelve and you could add decor pieces! Just an idea!
I don’t know if there’s exposed brick behind the wall but that would be cool, we would love to maybe open it and make it a real fireplace eventually who knows 😅

Omg its beautiful me and my mom said its beautiful please keep the lamps they are very antique save them mom said wash them with light soap meaning just wipe them down and the electric plugs are so many look into Victorian type of homes small tables and lamps...my mom said once the home is finished priest needs to bless it and mom said you and Eric are complete only missing is the puppy and in the future the kids ...we can't wait to see the home fully renovating my dad works in Upstate NY he is A truck driver we planning on moving From NJ to Upstate I imagen that View when its snowing ❤ God bless and congratulations ❤❤

FYI, the molding on the ceiling is called crown molding and the molding across the middle of the walls is chair molding. (I've watched too much HGTV in my life 😂)

7:33 ok hear me out the lights can look really good if the rest of the kitchen is modernized. Then it wont look as dated but look expensive. Which those are. Consider what type of kitchen you're going for i.e. spanish style, italian, european, mediterranean, modern, cottage, a combination.

Marble paint is popular now too. Could marble paint the fireplace instead of all white to give it more dynamic! Many options online. Create a mood board for each room! Consider wallpaper! Like what styles are known for your area. In Miami flamingo wallpaper is found in many luxury homes
