Persona has little to do with humor unless you're expecting him to be good at doing impressions. We are here to watch him orchestrate a diverse array of humor from the most mundane, typical routines that none of us usually don't see. That's what Louis is good at.
I've wondered for years why all tv comedies have at best no opening titles and at worst annoying prolonged bullshit. Louie is the first to have a ridiculously cool title sequence.
And you need to learn the difference between fact and allegory. The two characters (from The Office and Louie) are very similar and share many traits. The Office character has the same style and brand of humor--they are different only in name and occupation.
I strongly feel that this should be required viewing for every apprentice doctor in America. The title of this should be "What not to do with your patient". I know this is a comedy and it was meant to be funny but on the other side of the coin it is an absolute nightmare. It strips every shred of dignity from the patient.
I swear the receptionists in nearly all clinics or hospitals are that fucking rude. Like, I know it gets frustrating but there's a level of professionalism to uphold.
