Seems like your experience was great. My situation is hell. I have to stuggle to push a wheelchair everyday because the client loves going out to shop and all. Its so difficult on the body as women are not physically strong. And the client is rude. How do you deal with all that 😭💔 I feel the worst
Hii, I am soo sorry for your experience. You must talk to the person who deals with your rota. If they care for their staff, they will understand how you feel
Im starting training as a live-in carer next week and I love this video! Just wondering do you do the food shopping etc and is it paid for? Or does it come out of your wages?
Heyyy!! Welcome to live in care, it is amazing🤩 So food shopping does depend on the client. Sometimes we do the shopping with the money we get or we can use our own money and have most of it claimed back through the company or sometimes it is paid for by a family member who does the shopping and you tell them what you'd like. We get x amount a week put towards our food
Hi, i'm William, im a carer from Scotland. Did you start work as a live in carer? how is it going for you.? I've passed my 1st interview with ELDER CARE UK.
Oooo this is a hard one. I have worked for a few, and they all have their pros and cons. Highly suggest doing some research and reading reviews and find one thats for you

Most of the time you have your own bathroom yes, other times you may have to share. You will always get your own bedroom

Some companies pay weekly and others pay monthly. It takes a while to get use to but I loved it
IM a live in Caregiver and I feel guilty about taking breaks in the day as no one told me to. How do you take breaks?
I feel the same sometimes. I usually take my breaks when its quiet in the afternoons
