Hogenakkal or rocks covered in smoke. The falls created a thick mist of water that looked like smoke, hence the name ‘hoge-smoke’, ‘inakkal-on the rocks’. It used to be much more spectacular in the late 80’s and 90’s since it had a lot more water, and climate emergency had not happened yet.
Those waters have crocodiles in them..😱

Hi Srividya yes weekends you have crowd but getting the boat is not difficult at all you can easily make it , also during rainy season it remains closed it would be better if you can check and gonif planning in June ..

Hi Parth sure though the place is very common and near dharmapuri you can take Nh44 that goes towards Krishnagiri also may be you would have checked gps during night so it avoids the forest route and shows the longer route check during day time it should not be more ..

Hey Suraj it wasn't that bad but yes it's like any normal street food that one eat may be its not the healthiest but you wanna try once ...And deep fried food normally is like not a very bad idea...

@user-xf8sw2sv9z Hi, As of now, there are no direct buses to hogenakkal, so may be taxi is an option to look out for . Also, during peak rainy season, it remains closed, so please keep a check on the same .

You have shivanasamudra falls , Chunchi , TK falls , is what comes to my mind but since its Summer to most of it dries up, so you have to plan for waterfalls post monsoon when it will be in fully glory ...from Sept may be
