One of the sad facts of a longer life, is all the sad empty spaces that appear along the way, of people you have known or loved that are no longer occupied. Sorry this happened Gaz, it's nice you remember him with fondness! Thats a small blessing, I wish you peace.
Hi Gazza,sorry for loss of your friend,it’s always hard to understand the how and why when you lose someone you personally know, especially when they were so young,I know it won’t make much difference to how you feel right now but he lost his life doing something that he loved, I have lost a few of my friends to motorcycle accidents over the years and being 68yrs old I have also lost friends to illness, I know it’s too soon now but maybe sometime in the future your MX club can organise a memorial event in his honour,just a thought, and to all fellow bikers out there,ride free and ride safe.
I think a lot of grief & sadness we have endured in the past from lost loved ones comes flooding back like an open wound on top of immediate grief. The scars never truly leave us....we just bury them as best we can. Love to you all x

I know exactly how you feel, On March 3rd a chap who's worked for me for 36 years decided to go for a bicycle ride as the weather was unusually pleasant for that time of year, when a car veered off the road and killed him outright. What a waste and a stupid, tragic way to end your days! Here in Ontario there's an organisation that places painted white bicycles at the scene of accidents where cyclists have been killed (They call them ghost bikes). We pass this everyday as a reminder of a pointless tragedy.
I saw the bikers letting rip yesterday, the weather makes them go ott, my dad and nephew killed on mcs. great experienced bikers but it got them in the end
I'm so sorry for you Gazza and to his family. I don't know if it's right or not but he went doing what he loves. I always struggle with finding the right words in these circumstances. it sounds selfish to the people left behind but that's not my intention. Take care.

Its always sad to hear a rider has passed ive rode and raced since i was 12 now 47 and still love it thought's go out to his friend's and family 🇬🇧
