I knew you would love this campsite Andy, We stay here quite often as a family, and use it for a base for Rhayader, Aberystwyth, and Gigrin Farm to see the red Kites being fed. They also have freezers that you can put your freezer blocks in. Also if you do go back, and it is on a Sunday, book in to the red Lion Pub for the Carvery, very reasonable and homemade 😊
It is indeed Rob! Glad you and others enjoy the reviews…they have a good following but not massive viewing figures, it’s very niche but I enjoy passing on my thoughts. Thanks for following, greatly appreciated.
Andy, I love in Wales and not yet taken advantage of such camping sites. I still haven't been camping on my bike, yet. Nice review 👌 I do like quiet and maybe fear rocking up to noise and screaming kids. Maybe it's best out of season when the children are back in school. Keep up the reviews 👍atb Taff 🤠👊
Thanks Taff, I’d definitely leave it until kids at school…weekends are busy but weekdays usually quite! You must give the bike camping a go…a man of the woods should be able to pack light 😆 👍🏻
I was in Wales this Monday to today and I stayed at the wildmanwoods campsite mid Wales. You have to check it out it blew me away.i camped right by the river fire pit already set up for campers.a very well thought out site.
Thanks Andy, you won’t be disappointed! I’m feeling much better than previous 18 month, been a bit of a slog with health but still managed to get out and about regardless…well most of the time and shorter trips 😂 👍🏻
Enjoyed that Andy, as it happens I’m at the campsite now 😁👍 for me and the Mrs it cost £96 for four nights I agree with you it’s a beautiful campsite and I’ve been coming here for a number of years , and it’s interesting to see what other people think of it. You are right it is a great base to explore mid Wales and it won’t break the bank either cheers Mark .
@@Twin_Peaks_Outdoors thanks for the feedback Mark, lovely site and nice people…I’m in the Lake District but not camping on this occasion but hope your weather is better than ours today 😂
@@Twin_Peaks_Outdoors been hammering it down this overnight and through until about an hour ago.. at an ultra running event and lots of runners pulled out from the 100 last night with awful conditions! Sunny now though 😃
Thank you for another campsite review Andy. This will be another campsite that I intend to stay on after watching your review. Thanks as always for mentioning the access roads and nearest town to get provisions. Mike
Brilliant review Dan makes me want to go. In fact seeing some of your old videos on the Lake District I’m venturing off there in a couple of weeks time and would love your recommendations on the best sites to stay . I hope to do all the passes.👍🏍️
Thanks fengbi, I’m on the road as we speak but will get back to you with some perfect and cheap sites near the Lakeland passes when I get home tomorrow…you’ll love them 👍🏻
Hi Fengbi, any of the following sites would be excellent for stopping and doing all the Lakeland Passes and there are reviews on each one on the channel: AMBLESIDE AREA (most central) Coniston Hall BaysBrown Farm Great Langdale National Trust KESWICK AREA: Stonethwaite Farm Seathwaite Farm ULLSWATER AREA: Side Farm I personally love the Borrowdale Valley, Keswick area but wouldn’t hesitate to stop at any of them. The National Trust site is excellent but a bit pricy at this time of year! Good luck and possibly plan your route with a stop at different sites, even better 😃
Thanks and great central location good roads any direction… to be honest I just travelled there on main roads, which are all great, but there’s lots of smaller B roads and one I’ve flagged for future visit is the B4518 from there up to Clwyedog Reservoir then on to Llanbrynmair on A470 then circle to coast and back (any route will be good)

What a lovely site! River side eating looked nice! Love the reviews as always sir!
Can’t better a riverside location…other than a sandy remote beach one! Cheers Carl, how are you getting on and still off roading
@@thecampingbiker791 Bit of a break over winter but was out last week and 4 days off work as of tomorrow to go riding, probably no camping though :(

This looks great. And only 2 hours away
It’s a very nice site, I suspect busy on summer weekends.. the owners are also lovely people
Great review Andy was looking for a campsite to base myself and go off on the bike did you do any route around there ? Or any suggestions pls 👍

do you have to book for a couple of nights ?
I only had one night but possibly weekend summer you might..
£13 sounds good to me !
Top end for me but have to say worth it for this site.. loved the camping down by the river
Sorry I mean Andy 😂🤣🤪
I’ve been called worse 😂 😂
