+Chantra Williams >>> there are ways to add a surcharge but you have to properly register your business with visa and MasterCard and you have to disclose the surcharge up front.
There's a video on my channel if you scroll back in the history where I talked about surcharging and in that video description I provide the links for surcharging. Additionally there are certain states that do not allow you to surcharge.

Chantra Williams Just add the fee as an invoice position - no need to register with Via or MasterCard. I am using InvoiceNinja and the software adds it automatically for me :)
+TheMentalist >> if you are adding a surcharge as a line item on your invoices, I would highly advise you to go through the process to become registered with the card brands to surcharge.
There are very stiff penalties for breaking this rule and although it's easy to do without being registered, if anyone reported you, your account could get shut down.
There's a video on my channel where I posted the documents you need for becoming registered with the card brands in order to surcharge.
BancardSales I am in Germany, CreditCard company’s can do nothing here or charge me with some crazy penalties ;) Also I don’t really know how the cc company should know that I am charging a fee. And otherwise cc ist optional at my business, the main method here is bank transfer.
Btw what’s the problem for the cc company that I am charging a fee? Customer can choose how they pay and they also see the fees.
